Friday Fractured Fragments....
- Short weeks, for whatever reason, always seem to drag on longer than a regular week! What's with that?
- Tampa was getting really bad storms last night, but they seemed to skirt us. We kept hearing thunderstorm warnings, but not much more than a few sprinkles came down. Not that we couldn't use the rain, but it doesn't need to be a terrible storm!
- Does anyone else find it strange that ice hockey is now going on at the same time as baseball? I remember when each major professional sport had it's own 'season'. We had football season (fall), basketball & hockey season (winter), and baseball season (summer). Now they ALL overlap and there is no such thing as a 'season' anymore. What's with that? $$$$$$
- Tomorrow (Saturday), we are making a run over to Mazzaro's Italian Market, and then will go check out a couple of places for our proposed family reunion, at the beach in 2015. I don't need to tell you about Mazzaro's, since I've written about it several times before....but YUM!
- Onyx is doing okay. I'm going to wash Cookie's bed this weekend. Still get tears when I look at her pictures.
- The seminar yesterday morning, about outcome budgeting, was sort of a bust. It is something we are already doing. They have just started calling it something else. It is validation, though, that we are doing 'it' right.
- My sisters both have birthdays coming up! Patti's is June 1st and Tammy's is June 5th. I sent gifts out, on Tuesday, and Tammy got hers already...and of course, opened it early! Got a call from her tonight, and am happy she likes what I sent.
- I think that's enough for this post. Obviously, I don't have much to say!! I surely do wish you all a good weekend, though, and thank you for stopping by! Blessings!

ReplyDeleteAbout the sports.... with the high school sports here, there seems to still be the seasons for them, but they are over-lapping miserably. Some of the kids had to make big decisions on which one they 'really' wanted to play, because they can't be in 2 places at once. I don't think it's fair to the kids.

My week has been goofed up because of the holiday - I seem to have trouble remembering what day it is!

I'm happy that baby Onyx is doing better. I know you'll always miss Cookie. I know what you mean about sports. Here, of course, it's never-ending football or soccer. Of course, since the World Cup begins soon in Brazil, it will be never ending. Go, Spain!
ReplyDeleteThe only sports I pay attention to are the ones my kids are playing. Luckily they have soccer in the fall and track in the spring. Not too overwhelming. We had a lot of rain this past weekend and have some flooding rivers. There was even a house on hill where the hill started sliding and a sinkhole formed. The people had to move out of their house and it's now going to be demolished. I can't image - poor family.
