Silly Saturday....

Got up (good start!) and Joe and I headed for the Gulf Coast. We stopped at Mazzaro's Italian Market, first, and picked up a few things (wine, pasta, biscuits, pizzelles).

Our main mission for the day, was to visit a few properties along the beach, to find one that is clean, affordable, has a pool and beach access, that we can use for our family reunion next summer.  We found a few, but also found that they are not as affordable as I would like.  So, the search will continue. It does give us an excuse to go to the beach again!! :)

Joe even suggested that we should stay over a night in whichever property we decide we like best! :)  I was interested to hear from two of them, that they don't "do" family reunions (she added, "no offense") but family reunions tend to take over the pool areas and be loud and raucous. Ha! You would think she had been to one of ours before!

No plans for tomorrow, other than the usual chores. I hope you had a good Saturday, and wish you a blessed Sunday. Thanks for your visit!

  1. Is the reunion your family or Joe's? Everything seems to cost twice as much as ever before. Hope you can find the right one. We have stuck close to home today...Hugs

    1. My family, but we hope a few D'Orsaneos decide to join us, too! One property will give us a discount/group rate, if we have 20 rooms. Right now, it is just 8 or 9.

  2. Doesn't sound like a bad chore exploring beautiful beach front property!

  3. Sounds like fun, but also hard - everything is so expensive!
I like Joe's idea of staying to check the places out. :)

  4. ...oh the agony!!! Going to the beach to find a resort that will 'handle' those noisy reunion-goers!! Don't just settle on one...check 'em ALL out before you decide. [insert wink]

  5. We're lucky that we get to have ours in a state park, but then no one has to travel as far as your family will. Hope you find a place that meets your needs. Just think what a good time you're going to have!

  6. I hope you find somewhere to have your reunion. Having it at the beach sounds like fun.

Mmmm pizzelles. I haven't had those in years.
