Throwback Thursday
Mrs. Dorothy Everhart's Second Grade Class
Central Elementary, Washington Court House, Ohio
1959-60
I bet you can tell right away which second grader is me!! Tallest - middle of the last row, with wild blonde hair. I am in the same spot, in every grade school class picture.
My friend, Dee Dee Dennen, was almost as tall. My best friend, though, was Linda Mallow, third from the left in the front row. I was also friends with Linda Jo Hobble, Patty Gormley, and Elizabeth Sower. I would love to know where some of these classmates are today. I had to go to a different elementary in fourth grade, and lost touch with most of these kids. I'm going to list their names, just in case someone recognizes one of them!!
Top row: Douglas Plant, Dean Perrill, Mark Naylor, (me), Dee Dee Dennen, Debbie Tarbill, Marsha Frazier, Eric Johnson
Middle row: Mary Jo Hyer, Danny Fowler, Mike Feikema, Richard Coy, Susan Eggman, Linda Jo Hobble, Elizabeth Sower, Rita Coil, Gayle Greene
Front row: Debbie Leonard, Charles Stevens, Linda Mallow, Connie Gentry, Danny Osborne, James Shasteen, Patricia Gormley, Steve Greiner, Brenda Eckle.
My mom made note that five kids were absent: David Ogan, Rita Kay Marvin, Phillip Lee, and Orville Myers
So...that's my throwback photo! It would sure be fun to find even one of these folks! Thanks for stopping by. Peace, love & hugs.

What fun to look at these pictures. Hope you can connect with one or more of them. Love your new backgrounds.
ReplyDelete...five kids absent...and only four names? Are you testing us to see if we're reading your post in its entirety?!!
ReplyDeleteGolly, I always enjoy your Thursday posts...they're fun. In fact I think they're always my favorite and I look forward to reading them.
You know, I just wrote out what she had written on the back of the photo. Didn't pay attention to there only being four names. I'll have to look at it again, and see if she goofed, or I did....probably me!
DeleteThis looks so familiar! Just like school annual pictures we had made yearly. They included 1-12th grades. I loved this! I was the second tallest girl in my class, and then I stopped growing in junior high, and others shot past me! LOL

That would be neat if you could reconnect with old friends. I was always the shortest kid. lol Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI hope someone recognizes some of these names or faces. Thank goodness your mother made note of the names. I don't think I'd remember the names from my class.
ReplyDeleteLove your Throwback Thursdays. Blessings
ReplyDeleteI love this picture! I was always short and all my pictures have me in the front row. :) It would be wonderful if someone recognized a few of these names.
ReplyDeleteGrade school pictures are always fun to look back on. I have several, of course, but the names weren't written on the back. I guess I was suppose to remember them 60 years later.
ReplyDeleteI hope you can reconnect with at least one of them. They may be able to steer you to some others.
I enjoyed seeing this today. Thank you for sharing.
It's fun to share old photos. This one sure looks like my old school pictures too! ~:)
ReplyDeleteI was able to pick you out!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it fun to look back and reminisce. Too bad that you have lost contact with them. Perhaps some blogger will recognize a name or two!!
ReplyDeleteWish I had the old class photos from each year. I guess they got lost in the moves my parents made. Teri, I was always the tallest and, almost always, my best friend was the shortest.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to post their names. I hope you are able to find one of them.
