I am also happy to report that Joe worked with a man, recommended by a friend, who fixes pool screens. I think I mentioned that Joe poked a hole in one of the screen panels, when he put the tent up out there, to hold over-flow junk during the renovations. For a very reasonable price, the man (Sam) fixed that panel, and another one he found that also had a little hole in it. He tightened some of the structural bolts and gave Joe some good advice on the right kind of spline to use when a panel comes loose. All good!! The tent is down and the screen is fixed!
Some of you asked to see photos, so here are a few that I took last night. I don't have one of Joe's office, because he was working on a tax return, and my craft stuff is still kind of piled in there, in one corner. You did see pictures of the floor and his new carpet, in a previous post.
Lilly has made herself at home on the guest room bed.
While Lucy has taken the rug beside the guest room bed.
Another view of the guest room.
Onyx has made himself at home on the daybed, in Joe's office.
We gave our dining room back (except for the boxes of photos,
stacked against the wall, which I will get to one of these days.
We heard from #2 son, Jeff, last night!! He is coming next week, and will be here with #1 son, Joey, and grandson, Tristan. Four D'Orsaneo men under the same roof!! There are some fun times ahead. It's been a long time since both of our guys were here at the same time, with Tristan, too!! Darlene and I will be in the minority! I'm so excited!! There will be photos!!
Thanks for stopping in! I appreciate your visit and comments!!
Wishing you a good Tuesday. Peace, love & hugs.

So very pretty and I know you are happy to have it done and back in order. Oh yes, we have many science experiments in our fridge, and in addition, we have another fridge out in the utility room and that is where most of them are done! Have a nice day. Hugs

ReplyDeleteHow exciting to have the boys home. Fun times coming!
I'm going to have to go back through your posts to get caught up with the pictures of your new floors. The guest room is pretty. What little bit of the floor that's visible, it looks beautiful. I wish I could do hardwood floors, but the weather is too cold in Ohio.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you'll have a good time next week with the boys all under the same roof. :) Looking forward to seeing pictures.
The floors are vinyl, Carol, not hardwood....but I'm so happy you thought they were! I'm amazed at how good the vinyl planks look!
DeleteOkay, tell the cat to scoot over. I must come and stay in that gorgeous guest room. Your decor is so much in the same taste as I have. Love it.
ReplyDeleteSo happy you are getting things back in order....it looks great and so cute to see the cats happy!!!
ReplyDeleteHow pretty!! You have to be so happy with the results! That is great that you were able to get the pool screen fixed at a resemble price! How nice that you are going to have your sons and grandson visiting next week! Good times ahead for sure! Have a terrific day, Terri!
ReplyDeleteLoved the pics -- everything looks pretty and inviting. I guess you are glad that it is almost over and things are back in place..just in time for guests.
ReplyDeleteY'all have a very lovely home. I can't wait to finish our renovations. They're minor, just replacing carpeting for Pergo flooring, touch-ups, etc., but it'll make the old homestead look so much better. Thanks for sharing! And hope the visit goes as planned and everyone has a splendid time. ~:)
ReplyDeleteThose furballs are a hoot. The second something is new and back in order they settle in!!!! Everything looks so pretty and ready for company!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are entitled now to relax and feel a little self-satisfied.
ReplyDeleteIt all looks great! I envy you being able to do this!
ReplyDeleteLooks great, and the kitties seem to be kinda fond of all the new things, as well :)
