We had such a wonderful time with my sister, Tammy and brother-in-law, Bruce, followed by Joey, Darlene and Tristan, and Jeff. Can't forget to mention Zoe and Brooke, the grand-puppies!!
Last night was the Museum's annual The Gala. It is a black-tie dinner/dance fundraiser. We sold 292 tickets this year, which makes it one of the best attended in the last few years!! We had to leave Joey and Darlene at home for the evening, which we hated to do, but I had to work (as well as enjoy the event). Here are some photos from Gala....

had the crowd singing along. Lots of fun!
While Joe and Joey took Jeff to the airport yesterday, Darlene and I went to get manicures and gel polish. That was fun - a girls' time out.
We sure do miss our boys, and even more right after they have been here. But, it is also good to fall back into our normal routine. I am working through mounds of laundry, and Joe and I did a little dusting and vacuuming after the kids and puppies left. We will kick back and chill now - but have already started missing everyone.

ReplyDeleteYou and Joe look beautiful! That is a good look for your next Christmas Card! The Gala is amazing! Someone or many spent a lot of hours pulling that together. How clever having those girls serving food like that - - - in the tables and the ice cream persons in the colors. The lights on the walls are quite striking, too. What a special, special night.
ReplyDeleteWhen company leaves, there's a hole in the house that nothing can fill! The table ladies and colored ladies are more fun to see, I think, than to be. LOL I would not want to work in a bodysuit like one of those!

What an elegant event Terri....I loved seeing the pictures and I know you had a good time. I hope you can get caught up and back to a normal routine. It is so good to have our loved ones visit, but it does take a day or two to set things back in place. I too, have missed some posts, but am just beginning from today. Have a good week ahead. Hugs.
