This has been an extremely looonnnngggg week!! How is it that seven days one week goes so fast, and seven days another week seems to stretch out forever?
- I'm having lunch with Cindee and Shirley today (and maybe Melody). Cindee's birthday was on Tuesday, this week, so we will treat her to lunch and give her birthday cards a few days late.
- Joe and I are trekking over to Mazzaro's Italian Market, in St. Petersburg, tomorrow. Our wine rack is nearly empty and we both just have to get over there now and then, for the Italian smells and tastes!
- We are happy some of our TV shows are back this week! Loved seeing Grey's Anatomy last night. My cousin, Justin Chambers, plays Alex Karev. His mom and my mom were first cousins, so I guess that makes us second cousins. Haven't seen him in person since the mid-90s, but am in touch with his mom a little more often!
- I am working on budget for our next fiscal year, at work this week. It requires attention to detail and lots of fussy stuff - reworking reports and allocation codes, etc. Can't wait to be done with the first round! This is probably why the week has seemed so long!
- I made hamburgers for our dinner last night. Gosh, they tasted good. Funny how sometimes something simple just hits the spot!!
Wishing you a good weekend!! Thanks for stopping by my page, and I appreciate your comments!! Peace, love & hugs!!

Happy Friday, Terri. Your trip to St. Pete sounds lovely. Have a great weekend. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend. St. Petersburg sounds wonderful. I love it there. Blessings
ReplyDeleteFor one weekend, it is you and Joe! You wont know what to do without company...lol Enjoy the market, oh and lunch with friends today. Hugs
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about some weeks being longer than others. Of course, the shortest weeks are vacation weeks! Your upcoming trip to the Italian Market reminded me of one other Boar's Head meat you should try - - - the Parmesan Pesto Ham - - - also excellent and Italian tasting. Last night Bill had the Boar's Head Blazing Buffalo Chicken and I ate the Everoast Chicken. It's got lots of garlic, etc and is great on a Hawaiian Roll with Swiss Cheese, too - - - pop in the microwave on lower heat long enough to melt that cheese! Mmmmm - - -- mmmmm - - - may have to go make another one for a snack now!
ReplyDeleteMazzaro's Italian Market sounds like so much fun to go too - wish we had things like that here!
ReplyDeleteFortunately this week went by quickly for me. Hope you enjoyed your lunch with your girlfriends and your trip to the market.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about how the same seven days can be so different for so many different people. Time spans are directly proportional to what's waiting for us at the end.
ReplyDeleteHope your weekend is a happy one. ~:)
I know what you mean about some long days/weeks and others seem to fly by. Myself, I prefer the slow ones. Life is so short as it is, I hate to rush through it.
ReplyDeleteI used to watch Grey's Anatomy all the time. I loved it when all the other regulars were on. Now there's so many new faces I can't get interested. I always liked Alex. That's interesting you 2 are related.
Hope you had a good lunch with your friends.
Have a great weekend.
All the time just seems to fly by for me now that I am retired. Sounds like you have been keeping busy and still having some enjoyable times. Your hamburgers sound so yummy. Have a wonderful weekend sweet Terri. Hugs
ReplyDeleteLove your Friday Five post! I'm sure you had a wonderful lunch date with your friends. I think it's so cool that your cousin is on Grey's Anatomy!
