Friday Procrastination.....
I am so happy Friday is here!! Tonight is "First Friday" in our downtown area. The streets are closed, the shops and restaurants are open late, and lots of people will be out on the streets for music, crafts, and just general fun. When I say lots, I mean upwards to 6,000 usually come out. Sometimes there are also classic cars. If Joe is up to it, I will suggest we join the crowd for awhile. We usually enjoy it.
Tomorrow, I have a hair appointment in the morning, then sometime between getting home from there and Sunday afternoon, the house has to be cleaned - a top priority! We have been gone the last two weekends, and the cat hair is forming tumble-weeds!! I might be able to plant a crop on some of the furniture, the dust is so deep. Ha! Fondly remembering the days when we could afford a cleaning lady every two weeks. Sigh. I can be so lazy, when I should be rejoicing that I have a home to clean. I do, and many do not. But I will still procrastinate, and I'm still going to gripe about it.
Work is busy, with the end of our first quarter of the fiscal year. I've spent time catching up this week, and next week will have to hit the reports big time. For new friends who haven't put 2 + 2 together yet, I work full time in an art museum - accountant, human resources, and various other things.
It was so good seeing Kris again, yesterday. She is a very special lady! Actually, all the blogging friends I've met in person are special ladies (and one gentleman - Tony). Blessed indeed, and thank you for your friendships here!
I posted this photo on Facebook this morning, because it made me chuckle when I saw it...so will share it here, too!!
Keeping prayer requests lifted, and also praying for a peaceful outcome to this mess in Washington.
Wishing you a good weekend!! Thanks for stopping by today! Peace, love & hugs.

Sounds like a fun Friday night to me! I complain about cleaning too, when I shouldn't.
ReplyDeletePraying for that mess in Washington!
You are a special friend Terri...in many ways. Tonight downtown sounds like so much fun...hope you and Joe do go and be sure and take your camera to show us some of the action.
ReplyDeleteYour 'First Friday' festivities sound like a lot of fun. I hope you got to go.
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way when it comes to cleaning. Afterall, it'll still be there waiting for me tomorrow. I'll do it then.
I laughed when I saw that llama on your FB page. It's cute.
I pray the mess in DC will also be settled soon.
We used to go to something like First Friday but not as big. It was fun. Hope you get to go.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful time tonight. I know all about those "tumbleweeds!" Have a nice weekend, Terri.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are really excited for Friday!!! What is the First Friday? And it is nice to meet fellow bloggers. Have fun this weekend.
ReplyDeleteOH... my goodness I also have been slacking in the cleaning department,,right along with keeping my blog up and running. I just don't know what is the matter. I thought if I blogged everyday about what was going on in my life I would just come to it every day .. but I am stubborn I guess... LOL. I am back.. I have been watching lots of You Tube Video's of how to keep it going and how to make it more interesting. We shalllll seeeee.... LOL
ReplyDeleteI was just remarking to a friend today that it would be a wonderful luxury to have a cleaning woman and cook to give me time to do creative things -- - and play - - - and blog - - - - have been covered up here - - - hope to post at least a couple times next week when my daughter is home on fall break and I am not babysitting - - - even though I dearly love our grandson!
ReplyDeleteWe have first Fridays in our town as well, though not as well attended I'm sure. Not wanting to go alone, I have never gone and so many of our shops have closed down, I don't think there is much to see.
ReplyDeleteFirst Fridays sound like a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteI no longer have animals who share their hair everywhere, but I'd never swear my flat was dust free. I think people who work outside the home do what they can or what they feel like doing after working. I know I do.
