Not the Monday I expected!

Well, I didn't go to work today. I was up nearly all night, running to the bathroom. I am sure I got some bad food at that buffet we stopped at yesterday.  Joe has been fine, so it had to be something I ate, that he didn't eat. Anyway, it seems to have run its course, thank goodness.

I did get out this afternoon for my eye exam, and while I was at the clinic, I went ahead and got my flu shot. My eyes are still dilated, and I hate waiting for them to get back to normal....but it's only once a year.

So, nothing else new to talk about. obama's speech is on, which we aren't listening to, because I get sick to my stomach watching him and hearing his voice. What he is doing to this country is unconscionable.

Anyway, hopefully I will sleep tonight and will be off to work tomorrow. Hard to believe it is October already. Thanks for peeking in!! Peace, love & hugs.

  1. Hope you are feeling better tomorrow.
I can't handle watching Obama either. I'm afraid for our country and I can't believe how many people are sucked into believing in him.

  2. Sorry to hear you were ill. I am such a baby when things like that happen.
I can't watch Obama either. I try hard not to worry about this country but it is difficult.

  3. W won't watch him either. Want to hear nothing about him. You are right, "What he is doing to this country is unconscionable."
I don't know if I would have had a flu shot being sick and going to the eye dr. Hope you didn't go too much.

    Love, sandie

  4. We feel the same way as you do about watching our President on TV because of how he has "governed" - - and it is sad we have that attitude. Scriptures tell us to pray for those in authority over us. However, I can't cope with listening to him either. We can listen to the news and catch all of what was said - - - and Bill is always listening to the news - - compares the liberal networks with FOX - - our station of choice. I was told the SNL skit was good about spoofing ObamaCare so did a google search for it on UTube -- - definitely not difficult to find. When liberal actors recognize the problems, you know there's something wrong with it. My husband looked at what the exchange rate would be for us if we had to sign up - - and the monthly fee would TRIPLE! We could get on a soapbox here about people needing to work and contribute before getting free handouts. The Bible has a lot to say about that, too. Yes, there are legitimate & deserving exceptions - - - but not to the extent it has gone in the U.S.
So very sorry about your evening. Stomach troubles are the pits. The only good thing about it is you weigh less the next day!
I am debating the flu shot. I have an auto-immune disease (oral Lichen Planus). It could have been caused by immunizations - - possibly. Also, my body is extremely sensitive to some things - - - like beef that may have had additives. I break out in hives - - - which I did tonight after eating a Kosher beef hot dog. That has never happened before with it. So I am not sure. It's easier to boost my immune system that do medicines at times. - - - - - and didn't intend to write so much - - -- hopefully I will have a post or two - - next week at the latest.

  5. I don't really like buffets for that reason. You never know how long they've been dishing out the same food. This is another reason why I wouldn't want to go on a cruise on a big (or smaller) ship. Anyway, hope you've got it all out of your system by now.

  7. I am so sorry you were sick, and I feel your pain...I have had it all morning today. Hope you were able to go to work this morning. Ditto about our President and his cronies. I cant listen or look at him/them. We are in a sad state.

  8. So sorry to hear you weren't feeling well. I'm beginning to think the buffets are bad for our health. I remember eating from a local buffet once and the ham chunks I put on my salad was rotten. I stay far away from that now.
I didn't watch the POTUS for the same reason. It's all lies. I do watch occasionally because I want to know what he's thinking and what he wants to do. But now the gov't is shut down and he is saying "it's not my fault", and he and the Dems are blaming the Republicans, of course. But I won't get into that here. It makes me so angry.
I hope you are having a great day.

  9. I am going to surprise you.. Hello... LOL.. I know I have been bad and not come to my blog. I just haven't been able to do much with it. But, I emailed Karyn and she is finally also getting back on here. So I told her I would try sticking around. LOL..

I am so sorry you got so sick the other night. I wonder sometimes about those Buffets. Last time I went to one was in Lakewood Center where they have one at that Mall. I walked around looking at all the food sitting there and some of it was not looking so hot. So, I hurried up and ate what I thought LOOKED OK and then left..

When I lived in Las Vegas, and Reno,NV I always ate at the buffets there. Of course it was always at Harrah's or The Eldorado. I tried so hard not eating at The Circus Circus... LOL Food always looked nasty...

I really should be blogging here since where I live has been very interesting. I am only living here till the end of March then I am moving to Spokane,WA. I just can't seem to get out of Washington.

I also can't watch very much of the POTUS.. and it was the same with Bush... the last Bush...Its so sad to know that after all these years it comes down to this. Seems we have Kindergarten Children working as our Government instead of Grown Men and Women.. Good Grief......
