Good Friday evening!
- That is a photo of my girlfriends. Left to right, Melody, Shirley, Terry, Cindee. Shirley had us to her home for lunch today. It was a get-together, not really for a birthday celebration, but because Melody and Shirley just had birthdays and it seemed like we should at least gather! Fun times, always, with my peeps. (I made them scrunch on the sofa for the photo.) I love the smiles. Each one has had tragedy and has or is dealing with some tough things in their lives. It is good to have a safe outlet for talk.
- I had the afternoon off, and we all left Shirley's around 2:30 (arrived at 11:30). I got home just before 3:00, so Joe and I went to Sam's Club for a few things. It was nice to get there before everyone else was off work and stopping on their way home.
- Sometimes hotdogs just sound good, and tonight we both decided that "tube steaks" would be good for dinner. And they were.
- Tomorrow, we have intentions to get out early and visit a local coffee house for breakfast, where one of my coworkers has his art work on display and for sale. It happens to be in the same block as the Saturday morning Farmer's Market, so we will visit that too. At 10:00, there is a coffee at the Museum, for a new exhibit of a local artist. He will be there to talk informally about his photography. They are mostly from the Lake Como area of Italy, and very nice. We both know the artist and his wife.
- I need to figure out what I am wearing to our nephew's wedding, and we are also invited to the rehearsal dinner. We leave on Wednesday, so I need to be trying some things on and start making a list!!
So glad you were able to be with your friends and they do look as if it were a fun time. Enjoy your Saturday. Nothing planned here, but the weather is wonderful.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad you girls had a good time. Nice picture of them. I'd never heard the phrase 'tube steaks'. I get hungry for a hot dog now and then but the only ones I've found that taste like the ones I used to eat are the kosher beef. At least they have real meat. Your plans for today sounds like a very nice day. Have a good time. ♥
