Saturday St. Augustine
We slept in until 8:00ish. That was nice. Joey had already been up and went for a run while we slept comfortably!
We had breakfast at a Village Inn, up the street from the hotel. That was good and got our day started. We then went into town and got trolley tickets. Hopped on the next one out and rode around the route, scoping out the places we wanted to return to.
We walked St. George Street, where all the little shops are. Too expensive for us, but it was fun looking. We also went to the Prince of Peace Votive Catholic Church, which is on the grounds where the first ever Catholic Mass was said in America. I will have more photos from there and will talk more about it tomorrow, when I have more time.
We had lunch over on the beach side of St. Augustine, across the bridge. It was delicious, and so much better than dinner last night, which we were very disappointed in. More about that, too.
I'll post a couple of photos for you tonight and will have a slew of them tomorrow, when I have time to organize them to post.
The first one if of my boys, in the trolley car. The second one doesn't need an explanation! LOL
We went to the St. Augustine Outlets, after lunch, and the guys found some great deals at the Haggar Store. Joe got a $225 sport coat for $30!! It is not a second, and it is probably one of the best bargains we have ever found while shopping the outlets! I didn't even go into my usual stores. Don't really need anything and wasn't up for shopping. I was hot and sweaty.
Pizza for our dinner later, in the room. We're bushed, and don't feel like going out again. We will head for home after breakfast tomorrow. It has been a good day with our son. Blessed. Thanks for stopping by! Peace, love & hugs!!
