Random Five Friday






Five random thoughts on a Friday morning....


  • The best thing about Friday is knowing I can sleep later tomorrow!
  • I am having lunch today, with my friends Cindee & Shirley.
  • Tonight is a Members Opening Reception, at the Museum, for the new exhibit, so Joe will meet me here at 5:30.  We usually enjoy the time, the art, and seeing friends. Check out the Museum, where I work, to read about our exhibits:  www.PolkMuseumofArt.org
  • We got the cats a new cat "condo" and Joe put it together yesterday. I need to take a couple of photos, but they are all enjoying it. Scratching posts, platforms, etc.
  • My blogging friend, Ruth, came through her knee surgery just fine - for those of you who know her. She asked me to pass along word that the surgery was successful and rehab starts today. I know your prayers will be appreciated.

I quickly snapped this photo of our sign, as I came to work this morning. The landscapers planted the yellow mums (I think that's what they are - not a plant person, here). They look so pretty!!

    Happy Friday! I have tomorrow off and am looking forward to sleeping in too. The sign looks great. I checked out your Museum and it looks like a place I would like to visit.

    You sound upbeat and rested - - - or maybe anticipating the rest tomorrow! I woke up excited about it being Friday, too - - but we have social obligations this weekend so it won't be quite the usual. That's okay - - - got a long weekend coming up on the next one!

    I have been wondering how Ruth has been doing. Thanks for the update. I saw your post about the museum on facebook. I laughed when I read the part about the cat condo. Is it the special one from IKEA? Enjoy your Friday

    I love meeting my blogging friends in person. Any time you are traveling through central Florida, please don't fly past Lakeland without stopping in. I would love to see you and even take you to lunch! Just send me an email when you are headed this way!
