Five For Friday

Another made up title, but there it is!

  • The auditors have left the building!  They had nice things to say about my work and how easy it is to get what they need because I have it ready for them, or filed so it is easily found. I told them that I view the audit as my annual performance review. I was told I got an A+.  That was nice to hear, and I am so glad they are gone!!  My 16th audit, here at the Museum. I should have it figured out by now, I guess!!  LOL
  • We are taking our friend, Helen, out for dinner tonight. She likes to go to Applebee's, so that is where we will dine, as we talk about her late husband and our dear friend, Al, who would have been celebrating his 86th birthday tomorrow. He will be well remembered tonight!
  • Joe and our much younger friend, Alfred, worked at Helen's house yesterday, to get what was Al's office, all cleaned out and ready for paint. It will be turned into a guest room.  Helen is quite pleased to have that task done, though there is a good bit more work before she can have a garage sale. I think the attic space is next...when it cools down a bit.
  • Did I mention that the audit is over?

  •  I need to clean, clean, clean our dirty house this weekend.  I haven't done more than blow the cat hair around in about three weeks.  It sneaks up on you, with five cats.... all of a sudden, there is fur every where.  We won't talk about the cat litter tracks, will we!
  • Since I mentioned the audit twice, this is the sixth bullet point for my Friday Five.  We had a nice call, last night, from our son, Joey, and we will be meeting him and Darlene in St. Augustine next weekend, for a little mini-vacation, Friday - Sunday. Looking forward to a nice visit with them. He will be in Georgia for some training, over two weeks, and gets the weekend off. I think it is an excellent idea!!  Tristan may fly up and spend time with us, too!
I wish you all a good Friday evening, and a blessed weekend!!  Peace, love & hugs.

  1. So happy for you sweet Terri that the audit is over and you received much deserved nice compliments. Have a nice time out to eat with your friend.

I am very familiar with the cat hair and that tracked litter. I so wish I could find some litter that works well and does not track, any suggestions?

You are right that the mockingbird looks like a raven in the pictures. I was shocked when I saw that the pictures had turned out with the bird and the fence black. It was not all that shaded and I have taken pictures of birds on the fence before in the shade and they did not come out black...beats me what caused them to be black.

Thank you for the nice compliment on my pictures and thank you for all your visits and comments. Hugs

  3. I think it is wonderful that you are taking Helen out tonight and remembering her late husband, Al. You are indeed a good friend...and to help her with cleaning and sorting...(wish you were closer!). I need to clean and sort...I look around and know I need to part with things but need someone to push me a little...me thinks. Wonderful news on your audit...good work deserves lots of praise. So tonight I hope you celebrate just a little too.

  4. Hooray for you - an A+ is fabulous! We get annual state inspectors which probably feels similar. We rejoice when they leave too.
We have one cat, and he creates enough hair and cat litter tracks all by himself. :)

  5. How nice to pass the audit with flying colours! Now you can relax and get some other work done - your office work I meant. As for the animal hair, it'll just come back. I used to think I could create another dog or stuff a pillow with all the hair I found. You've probably imagined the same with 5 cats. Have a good Caturday/Saturday.

  8. Praise God for the completed audit and the wonderful comments on a job well done! The Bible instructs us to rejoice with those you rejoice!
It is a big job to transform rooms so I am very glad there was help with that.
Yup - - I know about that cat hair. We could build another cat as the saying goes - - and we even brush them so they don't swallow so much. Same thing with multiplying when it comes to spiders on the back deck!!! I swept walls and within two hours, two more were spinning webs.

  9. You forgot to mention the blessing of having the audit over with. Our youngest son audits Indian Band Offices in the interior of BC. He rejoices when it is over too.
