One Choice
You are always one choice away from changing your life....
One...
One tree can start a forest,
One smile can begin a friendship,
One hand can lift a soul,
One word can frame the goal,
One candle can wipe out darkness,
One laugh can conquer gloom,
One hope can raise our spirits,
And one choice can change your life.
Those words are from a newsletter I get by email (Simpletruths@newsletter.simpletruths.com).
I can't claim the wisdom of the words, but making choices in our lives, and being responsible for the choices we make has been a topic of conversation among co-workers and bloggers, several times, recently. I've seen the little ditty in the green box a few times, in different scenarios, too.
This is something I believe in 100%, and it seemed like a good topic for blogging today. Your thoughts on the subject are welcome, in your comments, please!
We are off to St. Augustine tomorrow. Tristan isn't going to make the trip, and we found out last night that Darlene is missing teachers at her dance studio, and can't get away because of having to teach classes on Saturday. Sad that we will miss time with both of them, but we will have a couple of days to spend with our son, Joey. It will be a good weekend, and one we are looking forward to! I'll have my computer with me and will hopefully have time to at least post some photos.

ReplyDeleteChoices are sometimes well made and sometimes not. Sometimes our choices are indeed influenced by outside things and circumstances. Actually I think that God gave us the gift of choice...and He wants us to choose wisely.
ReplyDeleteLove those words of wisdom. I agree too. People can influence the choices we make, up to a certain point, but when it comes down to the final mark, the ultimate decision is always our's.

ReplyDeleteSometimes choices can be something to look forward to like what dishes to choose at a restaurant and then there are the difficult choices. I think there are mostly the difficult choices - unfortunately.

I have to borrow the wisdom in the green box. I agree that our choices form our lives and what we do with it. I have known, and am sure you have too, people who didnt come from the best background, but made choices to better themselves and did. Wisdom for the ages for sure. ReplyDeleteI believe our whole way of life is from the choices we make. People and circumstances can sometimes play a part in our choices. Sometimes we have to make choices that we don't like having to make but we know we have to make them anyway.
