My friend, Genny, is the Director of a homeless shelter in the Philadelphia area. She is an amazing woman, and I am honored to have her as a friend. One of their volunteers has started a blog and is working with some of the residents to express themselves in words. I am quite impressed and look forward to following them. Thanks for checking it out!! Genny and I met for the first time, in Italy! She, her sister and their parents were in the same tour group as us. She and Joe had lots of things and people in common, since they are from the same area of Philly. Since then, she has visited us here and we visited her there. We stay in touch by Facebook (and previously on Yahoo360 and Multiply). She is a good artist, too!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the link. One of my friends here is from Philadelphia. She's the one who had to go home sooner because her brother-in-law was dying and she'll be there until some time in July. I miss her, but am glad she'll be bringing her sister back with her.
