Good evening!
I really don't have much to write about tonight. I am getting caught up at work, and am only about a half day behind now. The financial reports usually would have gone to the Board today - they will go in the morning.
Today was the day we (at work) signed up for new health insurance. Lots of new rules. We are changing carriers and it will cost the Museum about 10% more than the past year. Our plan year begins April 1. When I visited the chiropractor today, they wanted me to schedule for two weeks. As much as I enjoy the massage and the corrections, the one thing I dislike about chiropractors is that they want you to keep coming back. I used the new insurance as my excuse to not schedule. Need to find out what the new carrier will cover. True, but also a good excuse!
We went out for Chinese food tonight, and then to Publix for a few things. Publix is right across the street from our favorite Peking House. This Saturday, I am going back to Weight Watchers. I was successful before, and only fell off the diet when I stopped going to WW. I need the discipline and that Saturday morning weigh-in to keep me honest. We had our photo taken with Sarah Palin at the Leadership Forum two weeks ago. I received it by email on Monday, and was appalled at how I look like two of Sarah Palin. She is so petite and beautiful, and I look like a beached whale. Enough. I've gained back 40 of the 54 pounds I lost last year. Ridiculous. No wonder my knees hurt. Going out to eat is my biggest problem, because I eat everything they put in front of me, and the servings out there are enough for two or three meals. WW says to ask for a box before you begin eating. Put half the food away to take home for the next day. Easy to say.
So, there you go. Now I've told you all what I am going to do. Help me stick to it. I'll be complaining some days and bragging other days. I'll appreciate you putting up with me!!
I wish you all a good Wednesday! The weekend is out there!! Peace, love & hugs.

I can hear you and hear you again....way up here in Canada. I just cancelled my WW online as I know I am going out to the bush and won't be able to track. For me it is the tracking that works. This bum leg has also left me without a good hour to exercise each day, walking briskly up the hills and around and back to home. I need to stay on flat sidewalks. Bitch Bitch Bitch....I am always complaining. I just eat too much and too often. We don't eat out often though and won't at all after next week when we move out to the boonies.
ReplyDeleteTerri, you are 'preaching to the choir' on the WW, gain weight subject. I had intended to go back to the meetings too, but life has gotten in the way. I will support and encourage you for sure. Glad you are almost caught up...I never liked to be behind either. The picture is so good. I think she is a real, down to earth person, but that doesn't go over well with the majority of people. That impresses me tho! Hope you have a good Wednesday. Hugs
ReplyDeleteI wish you lots of luck with WW. Now that the weather is getting nicer I will be dragging my hubby out for walks. We both need the exercise. lol
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
I'm in the same boat with you! I can diet or exercise, but doing both seems to be an issue. I work at it well for a week or two, then something happens and I'm off track again.
ReplyDeleteOnce my chiropractor gets me in pretty good shape, believes in "coming back" only when I feel the need for a "tweek".
I always take home food. When I can (which is almost always) I like to have 4 or 5 smaller meals a day. Last week when we went to a Mexican, I ate the taco, frijoles and arroz con pollo, but couldn't eat the enchilada nor the tamale. Tomorrow night I know there'll be food left over at the Chinese and we never order that much, but as there are only two of us this week and as I don't eat fried rice, most of that will go home with my friend.
ReplyDeleteYou can do it, Terri!! We can support each other in our weight loss efforts:-) I love the photo!
