Thankful Thursday.....

I was absolutely charmed by the following blog, brought to my attention by my friend, Cheryl.  It brought a smile to my soul, and I hope it does the same for you.  I have actually started following her, so I don't miss anymore chances to smile!!

Joe took Helen to the funeral home this morning, to see Al's body, before it is sent to Virginia.  He said she was very pleased with everything.  I'm glad for that.  One day at a time.  I think I won't call her today, since she was with Joe.  I don't want to 'hover' like her friend Marlene is doing.  She knows we are here if she needs us.  I'll touch base tomorrow.

Joe and I had lunch with our friend, Steve.  I mentioned him a few blogs ago.  He is paralyzed from the waist down (since right after high school).  He is facing some major surgery on April 4th, and will be down for 6-10 weeks afterwards.  He is in good spirits, though, and it was sure good to reconnect with him.  We'll be in touch while he is recovering.  Joe is helping him with some tax issues.

Tonight is facial night.  Ahhhhhhh....
