Sleepy Saturday....

We woke up, this morning, to the sound of the computer's back-up battery beeping.  The power went off, and stayed off for about 90 minutes.  Something caused most of our area to go down.  No reason to get out of bed....no hot water for a shower, no electric to make coffee or breakfast.  Nice to have an excuse to stay in bed!  LOL

We did get up, when the power came back on.  Made breakfast, caught up on Facebook and Blogger, etc., etc.  It was good to be a little lazy.  We got ready for church (4:00 Vigil Mass), then went out to dinner at Olive Garden.

The homily tonight was about forgiving.  We had a visiting Priest, Fr. Leo, and he had a good message for us.

Sitting here now, watching some TV and dreading the next week or so, trying to get used to the time change.  I hate losing an hour.  I just with we could leave it alone - one way or the other.  But - complaining makes me an energy vampire!!

Sarah Palin made the front page of our paper this morning.  The liberal media painted an unflattering picture of her talk.  They made fun of her "lipstick red" suit and her shoes.... good grief!!  Glad I was there to see her and hear her.  The art of true journalism has been lost.  There is no more neutral reporting...the more dirt, the better.  More complaining!!  Oops.

That's all I have for tonight.  Wishing you a good Sunday!!  Peace, love & hugs.

  1. No fear, you are never alone in the vampire world of complaining....I do the same, but am really making an effort to stop that and worrying. Not easy tho! lol Glad you had a lazy day yesterday...we all need one of those now and then. Enjoy your Sunday.

  2. It's not only the art of journalism. Lots of people on the internet have forgotten their manners if they ever had any. I hate the time change too. It always puts me in a bad mood. I don't know about your cats, Terri, but the time change also affected Zara too. I guess because they have their own clocks.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend. I loved the photo of your cat you posted on facebook!
