Before Tuesday is over, I'll post my ten thoughts for today (if I have that many left! LOL).
- It was hard getting out of bed this morning. My second alarm went off, and thank goodness I had set it!
- Only one cat threw up this morning. Things were better!
- I finished the December financials today!!
- It is budget time at the office - that is, next year's budget time. I distributed worksheets to department heads today. Ugh.
- My friend and co-worker, Gregory, got to leave the hospital today, and he is doing well. Thank you to those who have been praying for him. The surgery was successful.
- My friend, Matt, had his surgery on Monday, and his wife emailed that he is doing better than expected. Thank you again for your prayers.
- I finished a good book on my Nexus 7 yesterday. "The Fox" by Arlene Radasky. It was a free one, about an archeologist who discovers her family line on a dig from 75 AD! I really enjoyed it. If you like something that is out of the ordinary, and like family history and archeology, check it out!
- I got home from work and Joe suggested dinner out at the Texas Roadhouse. I did not argue. They have a great 6 ounce sirloin and I had a baked sweet potato and steamed veggies with it. Not too many calories, and delicious!
- We have a members opening reception this Friday, for our two new exhibits at the Museum. Maggie Taylor and Louviere & Vanessa. Check out our website for more information on these great contemporary artists! www.PolkMuseumofArt.org
- I cherish my friendships here! Thanks for checking in tonight! Peace, love & hugs.
I enjoy reading your Tuesday Thoughts and considered doing something so organized myself. Won't happen. We are settled now for a few months but as soon as the warm weather hits we will ramble away to the woods and byways and fishing lakes.
ReplyDeleteKaryn, I know you are itching to be out in the fresh air with your fishing pole! Keeping you in my prayers for that knee problem!
DeleteI love it that someone here does the 10 thought posts! I checked in to do one myself, but got distracted reading other pages and leaving comments. lol Still may do one...
ReplyDeleteCold mornings are always hard to get up in the mornings to. I pulled out my long fleece gown for tonight.
Yum, baked sweet potato sounds wonderful.
I like how you change your background. This one reminds me of a crazy quilt.
Diana, it has been so hot here in Florida, that we have the air conditioning on. 84 yesterday! Too hot for January, even here.
DeleteWe enjoy the baked sweet potato at the Texas Roadhouse too, but the one and only we had here, closed...:( Glad you got your work done yesterday that needed to be done. , and good to hear your friends are improving. Hope your Wed. is a good one.
ReplyDeleteLinda, I think what they gave me was a yam, rather than a sweet potato. It was golden colored and stringy like a squash almost - tasty, but not a sweet potato. I almost asked them about it!
DeleteI'm glad you had a better day. Dinner sounds yummy. We had Burger King. Not as healthy as your dinner though lol
ReplyDeleteBut I like Burger King now and then, though Wendy's and Checkers are my favorites.
DeleteI'm glad your friends are doing better and better than expected.
ReplyDeleteThei other day you mentioned some money that you didn't ñthink belonged to the museum. Hope you found the source. I had baked jsweet potatoesfor lunch today, and they were sweet potatoes.
