Office Christmas Party Tonight!....
My co-worker, Ellen, has two kids. Eli is five years old (Eli's sister is not quite two). He has decided that he really likes me, and twice this week he has come to my office for visits, at the end of the day. He talks and talks and talks and talks and talks..... He is such a little cutie. Yesterday, he sang Happy Birthday to Jesus, practicing for his kindergarten recital, which was last night. Today, he wouldn't sing because the recital was over! But, he did tell me how God makes babies. It was quite interesting. Then he told me that when people die, they go to Jesus. I'm glad he is being raised to know Jesus!! He also likes to sit on my walker....
Tonight was the Museum's Staff Christmas party. It was at the Hilton Garden Inn, at our city's airport (Lakeland Linder Regional Airport http://www.lakelandairport.com/).
My Secret Santa was our new Director!! I didn't have a clue....and she sat next to me! The Chinese/White Elephant gift exchange was fun, too. I took a few pictures, but some people were out at the bar (cash bar), so the room doesn't look as full as it really was. All the tables were actually occupied!
The chocolate cake was not as good as it looks, but the buffet dinner was very good....pork, chicken, mashed potatoes, rice, green beans, rolls, salad, iced tea, coffee, cheese cake and chocolate cake. Tasty!
Wishing you all a good Thursday! Peace, love & hugs!

Well, it sure looked like a nice Christmas Party. Always nice when the gift is coming from someone you had no idea...
ReplyDeleteTomorrow, I have to be up and out the door and at The Seattle Housing Authority for that 3 hour meeting.. and then the next day I will head out to The Westfield Mall and wait for my friend Sherry to come pick me up so we can go to Tacoma Housing Authority...and to the New Apartment. And then... Its all up to them to get things done.. I'm thinking by the 1st of the year I will be moved into my new place..
Barbara, I wish you good luck getting the new apartment! It looks just perfect! Keep me posted, please!
DeleteLove the way you answer the question(s) I'm wondering about. I have a favourite easy chocolate cake recipe that everylody loves, so it's the recipe I always use. No use trying to improve on perfection - just like your co-worker's little boy.
ReplyDeleteEli is a cute little fellow!
ReplyDeleteWe have a white elephant gift exchange coming up this weekend.
What a cute little guy and I agree, good that he is being reared to know who Jesus is! The party looks like it was a good one and I know you had fun. When will you know the results of the MRI? Hugs
ReplyDeleteLinda, my follow-up appointment is Monday, at 3:30. I told Joe last night that I want whatever they give the football players, who get injured and come right back out to play. I know there is some kind of injection that must take the pain away!!
DeleteYour new little friend sounds adorable. What did you receive from your secret Santa?
ReplyDeleteA glass cat figure; a frog for my frog collection; a bag of my favorite Heath Bar candy and frog earrings; a necklace; and the last gift was a hand-crafted cat ornament for my Christmas tree! All awesome!
DeleteParty looks like fun. Awww that's a shame the chocolate cake wasn't good because it really does look yummy.
ReplyDeleteYour new little friend looks to be enjoying the walker. I love children his age...they say the cutest things! Glad you had a wonderful party with lots of nice gifts. Hope you get some positive results on Monday.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a good time. Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteThat made me hungry. I will hobble to the kitchen and microwave some leftovers. Old Man is playing crib at the Legion. Sometimes it is pleasant to have the house to myself.
ReplyDeleteThat little guy is a real cutie. At that age they have so much to say and can talk your ear off. :)
ReplyDeleteYour office party sounds like a nice evening. The buffet made me hungry.
Hope you're having a great day.
This little boy is amazing! What a sweetie!! Your Christmas Party looked like it was a lot of fun...awesome pictures!
