Ten Birthday Thoughts for Tuesday....

  1. Today is my 61st birthday, and I am shameless about celebrating it!  LOL

  2. I enjoyed all the birthday greetings on Facebook today!  Yeah!!

  3. I enjoyed all the birthday greetings here on Blogger, too!!  Yeah, again!! Thank you!

  4. My knee still hurts, but using my grandma's walker (picture below) allows me to be mobile.  The cane is difficult, crutches are clumsy (well, I'm the clumsy one), but the walker allows me to keep my weight off the bad knee and still get around.

  5. Joe is going to Bonefish to pick up my birthday dinner and Bang Bang Shrimp.  It is raining and nasty out, and I didn't want to mess with a walker in the restaurant.  We will also save the tip money!!  Bonus!

  6. My Secret Santa gifts have been great this year.  Tomorrow is our party, and I'll find out who has been so good to me!

  7. Joe is going to go to the MRI with me tomorrow.  He said he will get me a wheelchair and  push me to the MRI unit.  Bless him (over and over and over).

  8. I have Friday off, to host my girlfriends here.  I'll do most of the work on Thursday night, so I can sit and get it done ahead of time.  None of them know about my knee yet.  They wouldn't let me do this if they did....but I want to do it.  No big deal.

  9.  The cats are all in.  They don't like being out on the patio, even though part of it is covered, when it is raining.  Don't blame them.  I closed the pet door, and they are in for the night.

  10. Thank you all for the prayers about my knee problem, and for the birthday greetings.  I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends here.  Thank you!

This walker was my grandma's.  She died at age 92 in 2003.  The walker has been living in our coat closet.  I've had to use it a couple of times.  Happy to have it.  We used to tease her and called it her red racer!!  LOL

  1. Sounds like you had a nice birthday. Sorry your knee still hurts though. Hopefully using the walker will ease the pain a bit. Happy Birthday!

  2. Happy Birthday (again). I'm glad you had a good day. I like your red racer and it's good that it helps you get around. That's so nice of Joe to fetch your birthday dinner and deliver it to your own table.
    Take care.

  3. I would sure like one of those these days. Crutches are a boon at first so you can get to the toilet and do ablutions in the morning, but they wear thin fast. I was thinking about getting my rolling computer chair out of storage. But I worry about pressing into the wood floors the landlord has so carefully uncovered and refinished. This knee stuff is wearing thin fast. Right?

  4. I'm glad you had a good birthday despite the knee! That walker looks better than the plain one my Grandma had. Is yours a 4-speed or 10-speed? j/k, but what are those brake thingies for? Oh, does it actually have brakes like a bike?

    1. LOL - Brenda, it goes as fast or slow as your legs can make it go. Yes, those are brakes on the handlebars. Nifty!! LOL And the seat lifts up with storage under it!

  5. That is one cool walker and I'm glad you have both it and Joe. Birthdays are special days and need to be celebrated as such. Lots of luck today.
