Thanksgiving Sunday....



I have had a great day.  Slept late, made breakfast for us, read the paper, and had a couple of cups of coffee to get the day started.

We went to Lakeside Village and did a little Christmas shopping, then went to the movies and saw 'Lincoln'.  Very powerful and a different look at Lincoln and his life and the politics behind Amendment 13 and the end of the Civil War.  Quite interesting, actually.

After the movie, we popped into Saigon Bistro for a late lunch.  We will munch on leftover turkey sandwiches shortly.  The end of a very nice four-day Thanksgiving holiday break!

Back to work tomorrow, but the housework and laundry are done, the house is decorated for Christmas and we will move on to the first Sunday of Advent!

Tomorrow is my appointment with the orthopedic doctor about my knee and my heel.  Wish me luck, please, and prayers are appreciated!!

    Will surely pray that you get a good report at the doctor tomorrow. Sounds like everything is in order for you to go back after the long weekend. Hope it isnt too rough.

    I have my memory tree up. The inside of the house is going more slowly than the outside did.

    You again make me feel incompetent. I have thought about Christmas and had a moment of panic as I need to write a letter to be send out. This week here in Canada is a prep week. We make and store shortbread to cure and puddings and fruitcakes are done and wrapped in rum soaked rags to cure and food hampers are prepared for the food bank. We don't actually start decorating until December begins. Mind you we may go longer as we don't usually un-decorate until after Epiphany. I will put you on my supplications list for the leg.

    I'm still interested in seeing that movie. The previews seemed to show Lincoln in a different light. Bob's not sure he wants to see it tho'. I'm glad you had a nice weekend. Hope your day is a good one. Said a prayer for your doctor's appt. I hope he will give you good news. Keep us posted. Take care.
