Saturday Salutes!!

On this Veterans' Day weekend I salute our Vets and enlisted men and women who serve/d our country.  Thank you.  Thank you.  Thank you.

I tried another Pinterest recipe for our breakfast this morning.  It tasted good, but ran all over the bottom of my oven.  I think I'll pass on trying it again.  We are having a pot-luck breakfast at work, on Monday.  One of my co-workers got married last month.  We didn't have a wedding shower for them before, so are having a little celebration with them on Monday.  We all contributed to a gift for them, and it will be fun to see them open the artwork we chose.  I think I will do deviled eggs, with sausage in the filling.  Several people are bringing biscuits or bread, so we don't really need more of that.  I know I can make good deviled eggs, and the sausage in the filling will make it feel more like breakfast.

A few weeks ago, we were at Hobby Lobby.  They have beautiful holiday decorations, and the wreaths were all in the $50 and above range (mostly above!).  I ended up getting 'naked' wreaths for $9.99, and some decorations for them - all at 40% off, and they will cost less than $20 each.  Finally got motivated today, and put them together.  We have French doors, front and back, so I always need two wreaths.  I still need to get some ribbon for a bow (didn't like the one I bought), then the wreaths will be ready to hang, after Thanksgiving.

We're about ready to pick up our friend, Al, and head for Mass.  After church, we need to stop at the hardware store, the Pet Supermarket, and Publix.  Maybe we'll get dinner while we are out, too.  :-)

Here are  photos of the wreaths, though they will be  prettier with the bows....

Naked wreaths

Well, they really are prettier than this picture, and will be even prettier with the bow added, but maybe you can get the idea....

Wishing you a good evening and Sunday!  Peace, love & hugs.

  3. Pretty wreaths my friend. I love to go to Hobby Lobby, but cant constrain myself, and always spend too much, so dont go often..lol
I tried a recipe from Pinterest today too, it is the 8 can soup. I liked it, but would not include the chicken if I make again. Am taking to my dear friend whose Mom was finally admitted to the Hospice Unit at the hospital. Sad time. Hope you enjoyed Mass and got to eat out. Sending love and hugs.

  4. Your wreath is pretty. Even without the bows. * Deviled eggs with sausage? Sounds good. I've never had them fixed that way. * Hope you have a good Sunday.
