Ten-Thought Tuesday....

I'll give this a try and see if I make it....

  1. Today is Board meeting day.  It went well, thank goodness!
  2. My podiatrist says the bone spur on my heel is in a place to not cause pain (I saw the x-ray), so after ruling out a stress fracture, his diagnosis is plantar fasciitis .  He gave me a shot of cortisone, which hurt like the dickens, and stretching exercises to do, along with an ice pack at night for 20 minutes or so.  All doable.
  3. Joe is at home today, with our heating and air conditioning guy.  We have to get a new air handler.  The last one was put in, in 1998.  Yikes.  Wish we hadn't bought the new furniture two months ago.  Sigh.  Hind sight is always 20/20.  True.
  4. I put Christmas decorations up in my office yesterday afternoon.  I have a ceramic tree, a wreath on the door and a swag that says PEACE.  It's festive and makes me happy!
  5. I need to drink more water.  Seriously, I do.
  6. I work with amazing  people here at the Museum.  Amazing.  So blessed!
  7. Our neighbors are going on a cruise next week.  We are watching their house and their two cats, Murphy and Millie.  Good cats and not a problem to walk next door for them.
  8. We are going down to Naples the weekend before Christmas, Friday to Sunday.  Our same neighbors will be taking care of our fur-children while we are gone.  Blessed again, with good neighbors.  Happy to spend some of the holiday time with Grandson Tristan, and Granddaughter Lauren will also be home!!  (We were invited for Christmas, but this will work better.)
  9. Still waiting to hear from the Orthopedic office about my synvisc.  Maybe by tomorrow.
  10. Wishing you all a great afternoon and evening, and a good tomorrow!
Peace, love & hugs.

  1. Love the new background. Hope you hear about the synvisc very soon. I need to start the 10 thought blog again. I get into it, and then something draws my attention away. It never fails does it...just when you sink some money into one thing, something else rears its ugly head. Oh well, thankful we are able to take care of it all.

  2. Did you read what Kris posted about water? Most.people here drink water with their meals. I prefer water to fizzy drinks and can't remember the last time I had a Coke or whatever.
My air conditioner is also a heat pump. The first cold day this fall it started blowing out cold air - out of gas. I'm now using an oil-filled radiator which works much better. I can hang my clothes near it when it's raining like yesterday. Maybe we'll win the lottery. LOL

  3. After my kidney stone issue, I have been so good about drinking water! The benefits are amazing. How fun that you decorated your office for Christmas! You will be surrounded with Christmas cheer all day long! Sorry to hear about needing a new air handler:-( If it isn't one thing it is another, at least that is how it goes in our house..lol.

  4. Your blog is so festive looking now, Terri! I agree with Kris. I've had kidney stones too, and there's nothing like a single kidney stone to encourage one to be a better water drinker! They say take your weight, divide it in half and have that number of ounces of water daily. So glad you have nice neighbors where you can swap pet care. :-)

  5. I had plantar fasciitis and with the exercises and proper support in my shoes it healed up nicely. It is very painful.

  6. You did the 10....good for you. Now I have to try figuring out how to change my background for the season. Any hints about how to start? I must have figured out the one I have now of an old map.

    1. Karyn, I Google "free blogger backgrounds" and there are a bunch that come up. I've used several. This one is from FreeBloggerBackgrounds.com. Most sites are listed somewhere on the page. If you look at the bottom of my page, the link is there. Each different site has instructions. Some work a little differently, so you have to read the instructions. Good luck!!

  9. A very good list of 10. I've never tried it. I messed up on the Thanksgiving list and forgot it most days. I'm ready to change my blog background. Going searching now. You are getting so festive with decorations. That's good. I can't get in the mood yet. I might in a couple weeks. You have a great day. Take care.

  10. Oh, sweet Terri! Sorry to hear about the plantar fasciitis and I sure hope it gets better very soon. You are very blessed to have good neighbors that you can trust to car for your fur babies. We never get to go anywhere together for very long because we have no one to watch ours. I enjoyed reading your list. Hugs

  11. Have a good afternoon too. Have fun in Naples as well. Nice you found someone to care for your fur babies. That is going to be the only real challenge with Nanook but we know enough folks who may help , hope you are better soon.
