I am so looking forward to a weekend without a cold or a UTI. Yes, double the fun! Ugh.
On Friday, I took my friend, Mali, to lunch for her birthday! We went to the Metro Diner, which is within walking distance for her (from her work). It was great catching up with her, and of course, I didn't get a photo. Not one. She was celebrated well at her job, and Danon and daughter Malory took her to the Chocolate Emporium on Saturday. It's in Orlando and sounds pretty good!! I lifted these photos from her FB page.
Saturday morning found me at Publix for a prescription. TMI... sorry. The antibiotic I was prescribed for the UTI made me SO SICK! I texted the doctor on My Chart and got a new prescription sent in. Took it and feel much better. Fingers crossed. I'm still coughing and blowing with this cold, but I can tell it is waning. Praise God and thanks for your prayers.
I did get some cleaning done when I got home, then just chilled with my boys. They seem to know when I don't feel well, and I had both of them on my lap most of the day. Sweet kitties.
Feeling much better as I write this on Sunday evening. Church was so good!! A member who was in a terrible auto accident a few months ago was back in church yesterday! She was so injured that it was unclear if she would even walk again. She IS walking and is back at home doing well. Another member got to ring the bell at the end of her chemo. Her last scan showed no sign of cancer. Praise God!! Then, we had two new members join, and three children were baptized!! Such wonderful blessings!
Yes, I got my laundry done, did a little more cleaning, and that gets us to TODAY!
Jean and Dick are planning to arrive around noon. I'm taking them to lunch (not sure where, yet) and then hope they have enough time for a little tour around Lakeland before they head back to their daughter's on the Gulf. I'm so excited that they are taking time to come my way!! There WILL be pictures!!
Our airport hosts Sun 'n Fun every year in April. It's a really big deal for Lakeland. Lots of visitors and lots of activity in our sky. The Thunderbirds and the Blue Angels are here flying over (I've never gotten outside in time to take a picture when I hear them). I DID get a picture of the hot air balloons one morning last week, when I was walking with Susan and Sharon!! We saw six balloons, but I caught five of them in this photo...
The rest of my week isn't too crazy. I did labs last week and will see my primary on Wednesday. Bible study and dinner out on Thursday. Walking most mornings, too. How does your week look?

I'm sorry you've been sick Terri. A UTI is so miserable and I hope this new antibiotic clears it up for you and you enjoy your visitors. Have a nice week!
ReplyDeleteI hope you continue to feel better, Terri. Enjoy your visit with your friends today.
ReplyDeleteDear Terri, I hope you heal quickly. Enjoy your time with your friends.
ReplyDeleteOh Terri - a UTI now? I'm so sorry. Will be praying for you.
ReplyDeleteI love that you saw the balloons. They are so beautiful.
Have a great time with Dick and Jean!
Oh no! A cold and a UTI, I am with you with a cold and it alone is no fun at all. Feel better soon. It sounds like Mali had a great birthday! What a wonderful Sunday. I am glad those people are recovering well. Have a great time with Jean and Dick. The Sun 'n Fun sounds like a great event.
ReplyDeleteTwo for the price of one? Not a bargain when it comes to being ill, Terri! Hope you feel better with every passing day.
ReplyDeleteOh that UTI doesn't sound good. It does appear the new prescription is working. Sometimes when it rains, it pours and that's the time you seem to be in - cold and the UTI. BUT you're on the mend, and brighter days are ahead! Have fun with your friends. Take care.
ReplyDeleteI would love to ride in your beautiful balloon! It was good to hear about all the good news from church, so happy for all those people. Hope you have a wonderful lunch with your friends and also that you continue to feel better. Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteAND, Happy Birthday to Mali.
DeleteI love your balloon. So sorry for a cold and UTI! Boy or boy you have had it rough. So, what are you studying in your bible study. Hope you have a nice week!
ReplyDeleteThe Gospel of John.
DeleteWhat a joy-filled Sunday service! I'm so glad you're feeling better and were able to celebrate your friends' good news. That Chocolate Emporium sounds neat; I'm going to have to Google their site "just because."
ReplyDeleteHappy New Week!
Getting to see both the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds on the same weekend?!!! That's amazing! I hope you recover completely from all that ails you very soon!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you and Mali had fun at lunch. Too much fun to take pictures anyway! That Chocolate Emporium she went to later, that seems amazing!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got a different prescription and you're feeling better.
We've seen the Blue Angels when they come to Seattle, they are phenomenal to watch! Those pilots are so skilled, takes your breath away sometimes when they fly so close to each other.
My week is actually kind of quiet. And I'm looking forward to it!
Oh no. I didn't know about the UTI. I have a very hard time with antibiotics for those...I've about run out of ones that I can take. However, my doctor told me to take 1000 mg. of vitamin C every day and I won't get any more uti's, and since I started doing that last year I have not had another one, and I was starting to get them almost chronically before that. So...you may want to ask your doctor to be sure it's okay for you to take that much Vitamin C every day, but it would probably help with both issues, colds and UTI's.
ReplyDeleteOh, what great news about the people at your church, etc. Such wonderful answers to prayer for people!! Love that you are enjoying friends and doing fun things again. Take care of yourself and please do check on that vitamin C. It really has worked for me.
I'm glad you are on the mend - you have been so sick!! Thanks for sharing all of the good things going on in the life of your church family.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are feeling some better Terri. Praying with this new medicine, it will clear everything up quickly! Your kitties are so sweet to give you some love while you're recovering. So happy to hear about the people from your church. The balloons were so cool to see and I love the picture of you in your heart balloon!!! Yes, I will be humming that tune now that it's in my head! LOL!
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better every day! I love the air balloons--it's been a long time since I've seen one in the air!!!
