April 10th: Friday Focus

Whoosh... where did this week go?

I've been messing with another cold this week.  I've not walked in the morning since Monday.  I didn't go to Bible study yesterday.  I canceled plans to eat out with the dinner group because a couple of the folks are immunocompromised.  I feel terrible when I wake up, then feel better as the day goes on, but I'm blowing my nose every few minutes.  I just went through this in February.  What gives?!!! Ugh!

Feeling a bit like a slug.  I did get the Easter decorations put away for another year.  I put my red-white-and-blue wreath on the door in homage to Memorial Day and July 4th.  It's my go-to summer wreath.

This Sunday is potluck Sunday at church.  Hoping I feel better and can go.  I RSVP'd and said I would bring my rice and chicken casserole.  It's easy to do.  Time will tell.

I don't have any new pictures this week, but these popped up in my feed from this month a few years ago.  The Hollis Gardens hadn't suffered from a deep freeze, and the flowers were looking beautiful.  I'll leave you with these...

Thanks for your visit, and have a blessed weekend ahead!

Peace & Hugs!!

To everything, turn, turn, turnThere is a season, turn, turn, turnAnd a time to every purpose under heaven

  1. I hope you turn the corner soon with this cold, Terri. That is so miserable! Those gardens are gorgeous. I need to get to our botanical gardens as soon as things start blooming. Praying you feel well enough to make your chicken casserole and able to go on Sunday. xo Diana

  6. Terri, I'm so sorry you're still not feeling that well. I think God is telling you to slow down and take it easy for awhile. If there is anything you need or I can do, please let me know.

  7. Oh, I hope you feel better soon. Spring colds are NO fun! Allergies maybe?? Anyway, please just rest and let your body heal. Good time for hot tea with lemon and honey. Thank you for the idea of the patriotic theme for the door, etc. I just put away my Easter things too and my door is currently bare, waiting for me to decide what should go on there next. With this year being the 250th anniversary, I need to take advantage of that theme! Great idea! Take care my friend. (((HUGS))) from a distance!!

  9. Oh, how disappointing to feel under the weather ... particularly during these gorgeous Spring days. You're sure a considerate friend, not risking others' health.
I hope you'll take good, indulgent care of yourself and let everything else just fall by the way. No rules, just right. Hugs!

  13. I hope you can go to church tomorrow. You are a good person to stay home so that your friends aren't exposed. I'm always amazed at people who just spread their germs everywhere!!

  14. Pretty flowers and I like your new blog background. Sorry you're suffering still with the cold. I hope you did get to your Church potluck today but constantly blowing your nose and in my case coughing is no fun! Feel better soon Terri.
