Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 634
1. Did you make resolutions or set goals for the year we're waving goodbye? How did that work out for you? Will you set any goals for this new year, new season, or new month? Share one or two if you'd like to share. I quit making resolutions many years ago. Sorry!!
2. When did you have the most fun this year? I am blessed with a family, friends, and neighbors with whom I have a lot of fun often. The best times were when I traveled north to Michigan and Illinois, where I visited with blogging friend, Mari and her hubby, and then my BFF Elaine and her hubby! I also had a lot of fun going to Ohio with my son over Labor Day weekend.
3. What's a song or song lyric you'll associate with 2025? Tell us why. I haven't a clue. I don't listen to music that often, and can't think of any song that I will associate with 2025.
4. Best (or a favorite) bite of something delicious you tasted this year? I had lots of good meals and treats, but the Tres Leches Cake that Cheryl brought for our Christmas Dinner Dessert was SO GOOD. I was sorry I sent the leftovers back home with her. Not my picture, but it did have strawberries on top.
5. What do you want to do more of in the new year? Less of? Reading. I have really slacked off on reading. Reading more would mean less TV watching!!
6. Insert your own random thought here. For those of you who have been praying for my neighbor Paul, his health has taken a couple of backward steps. He is still in the hospital, here in Lakeland, and Anne isn't sure when he will be able to come home now. Please keep praying. (She gave me permission to let people know and to ask for prayers.)

That cake looks delicious-even if it's not the 'real' one. lol. I'm so glad you had a good year and praying next year is as good or better. Prayers for your neighbor. Happy New Year. xo Diana

ReplyDeleteOh, I'm so surprised and sorry about Paul's set-back. Bold prayers!
ReplyDeleteSongs? I'd be at a total loss to identify anything considered 'popular' in the last few years -- but I've no regrets. I'm happy to keep tuned to the 40's-80's.
Would you believe, I've never tasted a Tres Leches cake. Maybe I'll put that on my Possibilities list. Happy new year!
I am so sorry to see this update on Paul. May the Lord bless him and Anne with peace, comfort, and all they need in this tough time. I'm sure your friendship with them has been a help.
ReplyDeletePraying for Paul and Anne. Not the best way to start out the New Year. May God be with them both. That cake sure looks good enough to eat! I think even I would've enjoyed that cake!! YOu definitely did a lot of traveling this past year! I hope maybe we can have another Florida girls get together sometime in the New Year. There may be others who could join us who live not too far from us. We'll have to plan ahead. I hope your New Year is filled with many blessings and joys!
