Happy Holidays!
Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so to speak. We encourage you to visit other participants' posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!
SATURDAY 9: HAPPY HOLIDAYS
From the archives
1. As you can see, when Sam Winters was a little girl, she loved giving her annual wish list to Santa. If you could ask Santa for anything at all, right now, what would it be? I'm not going to say world peace, though that would be nice. So would a ruby red brand new Bronco Sport, loaded!! Santa baby, put that under my tree... (LOL) About as much chance for one as the other, unfortunately.
3. Are you traveling this Christmas? If so, are you going by car, plane, or train? I am not traveling. I try to not travel during Thanksgiving or Christmas.
4. Did you ship any gifts to friends and family this year? If yes, which one traveled the farthest? I did. Virginia is probably the farthest, but Ohio is about the same, and a couple also went there.
5. Did you buy yourself a gift this year? I did!! I always buy myself a couple of Christmas gifts!! Don't you?!! 😉
6. Which do you prefer: candy canes or gingerbread? Gingerbread.
7. Can you see any holiday decorations from where you're sitting now? Indeed!! My little tree, a Nativity, the Advent candles, evergreen with tiny lights, stockings hanging on the wall...
8. What's your favorite winter beverage? This is Florida. Iced tea or spring water. Coffee in the morning, of course!
9. Share a memory from last Christmas. My granddaughter announced her engagement!! I just attended her beautiful wedding on December 7th!!

PS update: My neighbor, Paul, who many of you are praying for, did not get into the trial. He will be on a new treatment plan, and there is still hope that he will be able to have that bone marrow transplant after the first of the year. Please keep praying. This seems to be a numbers game. Blood counts have to be in the right place to move forward. He knows I have asked you all for prayer and thanks you.
Keeping your friend and you in prayer. Thank you for the smiles, Terri.
ReplyDeleteYou are for sure on the nice list!
ReplyDeleteI'll take a Bronco Sport too - in any color. :)
I'm sorry Paul didn't get into the trial. Praying that the new treatment is effective.
Her ring is gorgeous
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear your friend wasn't accepted into the trial plan. We just have to hold onto the fact that God does have a plan and it's always the best plan. Keeping him in prayer. Enjoyed your answers and I'll take a new Bronco Sport too! lol
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear that Paul didn't get into the plan, but am hopeful the bone marrow transplant will help him and that he will be able to do that soon. Oh, that red Bronco sport looks pretty good! LOL. I know you are on the nice list. NO doubt about it. I hope you have a lovely Christmas with your friends around your table. What a blessing for them and you!!
ReplyDeleteYes, I will keep praying for Paul, Terri. It is all about the numbers with some medical treatments. Love your granddaughter's engagement ring - gorgeous, just like her. And that wedding was fabulous!
ReplyDeleteOhh! That is a fancy car! I love the colour and good on you buying some Christmas gifts for yourself, it has to be done!
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry Paul didn't get into the trial. I hope the new treatment plan goes well. Thinking of him.
That Bronco is sure good looking! At this age, however, I think the best gifts are those we buy for ourselves. (I've got ideas!)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear Paul didn't get accepted, but will continue to pray for Plan B.
That was so sad to hear that Paul didn't get into the trial, but praying he can get the transplant after the New Year! I think Santa should bring you a new red Bronco because you are definitely on the nice list for all your good deeds you do year round!!
ReplyDeleteDear Terri, I am so sorry to hear that Paul didn't get into the trail. I will keep him in my prayers. That ring is gorgeous! The Bronco is beautiful! Merry Christmas to you and your family, and I wish you good health, happiness and peace now....and always!
ReplyDeleteFun read! It never hurts to look for bargains--even cars!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about Paul. I hope that the new treatment will enable him to have the bone marrow transplant. It must be very frustrating and difficult for him.
