Hello friends, and happy Friday! Good golly, it got here fast this week!
Jumping back to last Saturday, my church had our annual Christmas potluck. It was well attended and a lot of fun. The Director of Women's Ministry, Donna, did a fun game of Bible Family Feud. It was fun because I didn't have to play!! LOL The food was great, and I sat with my dear friends, Wilma and Livia. I lifted this photo from FB...
On Tuesday, I hosted the two lovely ladies above and another friend, Cindy, for a Christmas lunch. It was so nice, and they stayed well after lunch to just talk, and talk we did! I only took a photo of the table before they arrived. I made minestrone in the crockpot, had chicken salad, pasta salad, a fruit salad, and a lettuce salad. Also croissants and some cookies for dessert. Two of the ladies have dietary issues, so I made sure to include something for everyone to enjoy. I sent soup home with two of them!
On Wednesday, I had lunch with my friend and former co-worker, Kalisa. It was so great catching up with her!! We went to a Philly steak place that she and her hubby like. It was good. No photos again.
Friends Al and Theresa popped in yesterday afternoon. It was good to see them. Theresa just had surgery to remove her parathyroid. Thankful it is not cancer!! She is healing well, but still feels tired most of the day. We are going out to look at Christmas lights tomorrow evening. There is a community near here that has a terrific light show. I haven't gone since Joe passed. It will be fun going with her.
Last night, the Mas Verde group went to Cheddar's. There were 12 of us! It is always fun.
I am off to the Moffitt Cancer Center today with Anne and Paul. We hope he will find out if he gets into the trial that his doctor wants him in. Say a prayer, please.
Christmas is coming!!

We were discussing about going out and about seeing the lights around here...wishing you a lovely Friday my friend.

ReplyDeleteWe have a light display in a little cul de sac across the road from us and I haven't been over to have a look yet. I may go tonight if it's not too cold and wet, summer seems to have left us. I'm glad you've enjoyed your meals and get togethers with your friends, enjoy the lights.
