Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 625
4. What's something you have now you couldn't have imagined having five years ago? How does that make you feel? What's possible now because of it? Five years ago, I wasn't a widow and didn't imagine being one, but that's my current status. It makes me feel sad, still, but I am strong and independent and can move forward, honoring Joe's memory. I think he would be proud, and that means the world to me.
5. Let's wrap this one up with an October this or that...
- pumpkin bread or apple cider donut
- cozy sweater or cozy hoodie
- apple picking or pumpkin picking Someone else can pick!!
- scary movie or Hallmark movie Not fond of either
- hay ride or corn maze
- twinkle lights or candles
- autumn hike or autumn bonfire
6. Insert your own random thought here. My guests got home (see above) yesterday. I got towels and sheets washed, dried, and put away. I did some dusting and vacuuming yesterday morning. It was also trash day, and I went out to pull my trash cans back in place, ending up chatting with Susan and then Bill. Anne came over with Halloween/Fall decorations that she is giving away (she cleaned out a closet!). I took this beautiful glass pumpkin!! Score!!
Today I am taking Paul and Anne back to Moffitt Cancer Center so he can have bloodwork done there to follow up on his treatment. Fingers crossed that we hear the word 'remission' and can celebrate on the way home! Prayers lifted!!
Thanks for your visit today! I am slowly catching up on blogs I've missed over the past few days.

I love the glass pumpkin! I'm glad your friends made it home safely. Air travel is not for the faint of heart these days. You've kept your positive spirit and I know Joe would be proud of the life you've made. Have a nice day!
ReplyDeleteThe glass pumpkin is so pretty! Glad your friends made it back. Praying for a good report today!
ReplyDeleteI love your response to #1, Terri! What a blessing, having sisters like your 3.
ReplyDeleteThat glass pumpkin (candy dish?) is so dear. Prayers lifted for travel mercies and good results!
No, it isn't a candy dish. It is blown glass and is the size of a medium pumpkin. It looks hand blown, actually, but I think she got it at Marshall's.
DeleteI agree, Terri, that Joe would be so proud of you! Praying for wonderful news for Paul and Anne today, too. Blessings!
ReplyDeletePraying for good news for your friends Paul and Anne!
ReplyDeleteI have missed being here visiting with you too. I am trying to play catch up, but I guess there are some I will just have to miss! I enjoyed your answers and I agree you are a strong woman and have managed the changes in your life with grace and thoughtfulness. Yes, I know Joe would be very proud of you. Oh, I love your terra cotta drapes! So nice with your brown furniture. It seems like the more rustic colors are coming back again. I love your new glass pumpkin! Pretty fall decor! Praying for Paul and Anne and trusting God for good results. Take care and God bless you dear friend from Florida.
ReplyDeleteLove the glass pumpkin and I have to say I love orange - I don't wear it - but I love it.
ReplyDeleteI hope your friend's test say remission.
I think Joe would be very proud of you Terri. I know you two loved each other very much.
That is really lovely about what you wrote about your family.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad your friends made it home after a night at the airport.
Sending love and hugs. I am so sorry you lost Joe.
Fingers crossed that it is good news for Paul and Anne.
Joe would definitely be proud of you Terri. Hope Paul and Anne get good news.
ReplyDeleteI really like that picture of your livingroom! I love orange! In fact, many years ago in our first house we painted the trim in the family room a deep orange and the carpet was rust colored. Early 80's.
