Summertime
Hey! Welcome back to Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4, where we ask just 4 questions each week to give you something to blog about, something to think about, and a reason to visit other blogs!
♫Summer time and the living is easy, says the song. So, how is summer going for you? Let's talk about it.....
1. How has summer been so far? Has it been easy or hard, or are things moving along as usual? Is the weather getting you down, or are you enjoying it so far? The weather is our usual hot and humid. I don't expect anything different, so it is not getting me down. June flew by, and I imagine July will, as well. August always seems to last forever, though.
2. What have you been doing this summer? Even the little mundane things count. I will be traveling this month for a couple of weeks. I am looking forward to spending time with blogging friend, Mari, and then I will be going to Elaine and Jim's for a few more days!! I am getting excited about it. I don't like flying, so I would rather this be a road trip, but I am not comfortable traveling by myself now, and flying allows a couple of extra days that would have been 'on the road'. It's a no-brainer to fly these days.
3. What are you going to do? Any plans? What interests you this summer? See #2.
4. It's been hot in most of the country. How are you weathering the heat? What are your ideas for staying cool in the hottest weather of summer? Well, see #1. This is Florida. I just stay in where the AC keeps me comfortable.

I hope you have a wonderful time with your friends!
ReplyDeleteYou have a great attitude about the weather. I also try to have a good attitude about it. Enjoy your trip.
ReplyDeleteAmen on the last thought, to ac. lol--I don't like traveling by myself either...lonely more likely, smiles.
ReplyDeleteIt's been very hot here and so dry! We are really needing rain. I told Bob it will probably show up next week when I'm trying to show you around. :)
ReplyDeleteUmbrellas work! If you need rain, we won't complain!
DeleteHow exciting that you girls will be together!! Wow!! I just finished writing about my plans for a sister weekend at Rose's house in Charleston, SC!
DeleteHi Terri! It gets hot and humid here too. We have had a lot of unstable weather this year. Your trips sound like a lot of fun! Enjoy! Loved your answers! Have a nice Tuesday!

So glad that you will get to see friends this summer, Terri. Yes, flying is a great option for those who don't feel comfortable traveling alone. Smart choice. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteBecause I have lived so far south my whole life I accept the hot better than most. I will agree August is long, somewhat like February can be with colder weather for some. I do like August now that I am not in the rush of back to school.
ReplyDeleteSummer's definitely not my favorite ..... but like one of my favorite song goes, "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under Heaven." Grateful for air conditioning!
ReplyDeleteHi Terri, it gets very hot 🔥 🥵 and humid here in Montreal as well. I am so grateful 🙏 🥲 to have an air conditioner because quite honestly I might not be here if I didn't. I try to take one day at a time and drink plenty of water 💧 as well as pick the days that are safe for me to go out.
ReplyDeleteJune flew by for me too and I imagine the rest of the summer flying by too as we're always busiest over the summer.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a fantastic trip. It does make sense to fly to save the time on the road.
It has been hot here too in the UK, we don't have AC unless we're in shops so I complain about the heat a lot. lol
I'm so happy you are going to get to take a nice trip and visit Mari and her family! I know you all will have a great time! I do hope it will cool down up there by the time you get there. Yes, we are very thankful for our AC here in Florida. I grew up here w/o AC, and looking back I'm not sure how we survived, but no one had it, nor did many businesses or schools or churches have it, so we didn't know the difference. We sure are spoiled now! Have fun Terri.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to get some travel time in! I don't mind the heat cuz when it is at its worst, I stay inside cuz I have plenty to keep me entertained! lol I am even thinking I will get to travel to NY to see my parents again, too!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy you'll be traveling to be with Mari!! I'm leaving Thursday morning for five days with my sisters at Rose's place in Charleston, SC. Will we pass in the air? Haha!
ReplyDeleteStaying in out of the heat seems to be the order of the day at the moment. Enjoy your trip away and your time with Mari.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness for air conditioning!! Your upcoming travel plans sound fun!!
ReplyDeleteWhen do you go to Mari's? I don't know how, but I am glad you are going to see her. Seems like a nice lady!
