The Friday Focus on July 4th...

Happy Independence Day to my friends celebrating today!  I do have a few photos from this week to share with you...

I had to get a new phone on Wednesday, so I was playing with it while sitting at the kitchen table.  I took this photo of my view from the table.  Yes, I have a lot of stuff on my counters, but it all works for me.  I am still quite happy with the gray paint...

I got a perm in my hair on Tuesday to bring back some curl.  It is still a bit tight and I've only washed it once, but I am happy with it.  No product in it yet, but wash and wear is back...

My 'workroom/den/whatever' room is more organized now, and I took some photos of some artwork hanging out there.  My mom started painting when she retired from working at the Post Office.  She didn't take lessons, but painted what she liked - and she liked barns.  These two are by her.  My two sisters also have some of her art.  I love them...

And a long, long time ago, I was visiting her here in Florida (she and Dad were snowbirds), and we joined some others at their clubhouse where we all painted this scene.  My sister-in-law has our mom's painting, which is similar but different.  It was interesting that we all painted the same scene, but no one's painting was like anyone else's.  So this is my painting...

The Mas Verde dinner group went to Reececliff last night.  Larry and Sharon picked me up, so I was free to take this photo at Southside Cleaners on our way home... always fun.

There is a potluck dinner at our clubhouse today.  I'm taking creamed corn.  The HOA is doing hamburgers and hot dogs as the meat.  There is always lots of good food.  Happy 4th of July!!

Peace and Hugs!

God shed His Grace on thee...

  4. Awesome selfie, Terri! I echo what the others said about the new paint -- so refreshing. That "winter tree" and pale moon is beautiful!

  9. You paint very well, Terri, as did your mom! I especially like the tree with creek painting. I have paintings (none are scenic) done by my son and grandkids in recent years. Those I cherish so much. // I have short curly hair, never have to do anything to it. Mostly just run my fingers through it after a shower. If I didn't have a perm, my hair would be stick straight. I used to have long hair until about ten years ago. // Have a lovely and blessed weekend!
