Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 605
2. Someone is sending you a dozen roses...what color are you hoping for? Please don't send me flowers. They just die and have to be thrown out before the cats get them. Are you someone who gets accused of seeing the world through rose colored glasses? I am a glass-half-full girl, but I also understand the reality of life. Is your accuser correct? I'm my own 'accuser', I guess, so yes.
3. June 4th is National Cheese Day...will you celebrate? Every day is a cheese day! What's something (besides a burger) you make in the summer months that calls for cheese? Nearly every casserole I make has cheese in it or on it. It is always summer here in Florida.
4. 'tis the season...any weddings on your June calendar? Nope, not until December. What's the first word that comes to mind when I say marriage? Love!
5. What are you most looking forward to this June? Maybe getting my bathroom painted!! LOL
6. Insert your own random thought here. My dermatologist appointment yesterday morning went well! She found nothing to cut out. Whoop!!

I love the pizza story. One of the many moments of childhood, but it stood out and remains a core memory. Flowers die but I still love fresh flowers in the house. I don't have cats though : ) Have a great day Terri!
ReplyDeleteI love them too, but have not one place to enjoy them where the cats can't get to them. When I do get them, they go on the highest shelf in the living room, where I can't even see them unless I remember to look up there.
DeleteI love hearing about your Dad. He was a great guy - and so was Joe!
ReplyDeleteI went to the dentist yesterday and had no cavities, that's my random thought!
I made a big thing of birthdays when the kids were growing up and again for grands but Bill and I just enjoy a good lunch out.
ReplyDeleteYou look so happy in your birthday picture and I love the lobster bib!! I love the pizza story -- such a sweet memory of your daddy and his love for you!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet knowing that Joe always pampered you on your birthday. And that's amazing that your dad bought you an entire pizza all for you alone. You really had an amazing family growing up. I'm right with you on your love for cheese, too, Terri. No food more tasty and versatile. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful and heartfelt Hodgepodge post
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your birthday is one of those days when you really miss Joe. Glad the dermatology appointment went well.
ReplyDeleteWow, your very own pizza for your birthday? That was pretty special!! And I love the picture of you on your birthday memory with Joe. I know that was a memorable day. I don't like to be sent fresh flowers from a florist, but I do love to cut flowers from the garden or wildflowers from wherever I can find them. But I don't have cats in the house (YET!), so they can't get to them (YET!) LOL. I'd much prefer to be given a plant that I can plant in the garden so hopefully it will last longer. So happy your dermatologist appt. went so well! That's great news! And cheese, yes, there's always room for cheese! I had some on my salad at lunch, and I am probably cooking hamburgers for supper and will have cheese on that as well. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week!!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to have an entire pizza all to myself. That would be a celebration (and it would also be about 3 meals!!).
ReplyDeleteI loved your birthday pizza. Aw..what a sweet dad you had. When I turned 16 my aunt Ang made me a butterfly cake. Somewhere around here are b/w photos of that day. I love a pretty cake so I even made a Phamily Celebration board at Pinterest. I am silly that way. I thought of Kevin from Home Alone with his large cheese pizza all for himself. You are sure a fun gal full of fun surprises. Have a wonderful week and enjoy cheese. We are very cheesy here too. hahaha
ReplyDeleteI love this birthday pizza story, Terri! The only pies I remember from childhood came 'ready to assemble' in a dreadful little box; I don't think I ever tasted a 'real' one until I went away to college.
ReplyDeleteRight there with you on the cut flowers. If anyone were to send me roses, well they don't know me very well.
Sometimes I wish I didn't love cheese so much, lol. (Maybe not limburger or goat, but bring on all the rest!)
