It's almost my bedtime and there isn't a Tuesday 4 posted yet so I will share a photo and a story...
This isn't my photo. I got it from dear friends Elaine and Jim. This Norfolk Pine was in a planter that I received when Joe passed away, three years ago. You all know that I do not have a green thumb so I was happy when Elaine said she would take it home with them. This is the latest photo.
It makes my heart happy to see it growing and looking so beautiful!! Thanks, Elaine!
Peace and Hugs!!
A time for every season...

Oh, that is so beautiful, Terri! I am glad Elaine is taking good care of it and that it is flourishing! My DIL Rose gave me one of those a couple of years ago at Christmas. I tried my best to keep it alive, but it just didn't make it. However, she had one of the same kind at her house, and hers did so well se was able to actually plant it outside in their yard, and it is about 4' tall now! Now sure what made the difference...I blamed it on my house not having proper windows in the right places to grow houseplants, and our outside gets too much sun. Or it could be that I just don't have a green thumb and Rose does! She does very well with plants. Anyway, I am happy you shared your photo of the lovely Norfolk Pine tree that you "gave up for adoption"...and it is happy with its adoptive parents! LOL. ((((Hugs)))) Have a blessed day. Yeah, wondering where Annie and the Tuesday 4 is. I'd better check on her!
ReplyDeleteI am so like you - I love plants but I am a plant killer too! lol
ReplyDeleteIt looks wonderful! It wouldn't live at my house either.
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever plant stand! We bought a Norfolk pine for our first Alabama Christmas 'tree.' Unlike my green-thumb DIL, however, ours passed away a few months later from sheer neglect.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful reminder of you husband.
ReplyDeleteIt is very beautiful, Terri.
ReplyDeleteWe are heading back home tomorrow - praise God for making Danny well again and able to travel! Blessings!
Such good news, Martha!! Prayers will continue!! xo
DeleteThat's a beautiful plant. What a sweet gift to receive - a living memory of Joe. Glad Elaine shared it's progress with you.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful Norfolk Pine. I had one for years and years and then one day, it got sick and died! I was so sad. I don't have a green thumb at all.
