Friday Fotos...

Friday got here pretty fast this week.  I only have a couple of new photos to share.  When the weather gets cold, the alligators become lethargic and they seek places in the sun.  My boss knows that I love seeing the gators in the wild so he came into my office and told me to come with him, right now.  He was out on the property and saw a 10-foot gator sleeping in the sun and wanted to show me...

You can't see him well from this vantage point.  I would have missed him but Danon just has an eye for the wildlife.  This is one of the paddling trails and we were actually on one of the hiking/horseback trails, in his truck.  We aren't open to the  public Tuesday - Thursday.

I cropped the picture in for a close-up.  The gator wasn't moving.  He was not happy being that cold and seemed oblivious to us watching him.

I'm having lunch with my friend, Shirley, today.  Our friend, Cindee, who moved away a few years ago, called one afternoon this week and we talked for nearly an hour.  She is my friend who has Parkinson's Disease.  She and her hubby moved to Palmetto to be closer to their son and daughter and grandkids.  We are trying to plan another get-together.  Our group of six once-a-month lunch friends is just Shirley and me now.  Melody died, Heather moved to Virginia, Terry moved to Georgia, Cindee is in Palmetto, FL, leaving just two of us remaining in Lakeland.  We have many good memories and always had so much fun when we got together.

Shirley, me, Cindee, and Melody.

Me, Cindee, Heather, Shirley, and Terry.
Everyone but Shirley worked at the Museum.
Shirley lived next door to Melody and became part of our lunch group.

This is the only photo I have with all six of us in it.

Thanks for walking down memory lane with me!!  So many blessings!!

Peace and Hugs!

What a friend we have in JesusAll our sins and griefs to bearWhat a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!

Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness
Take it to the Lord in prayer

  5. I have a group of friends that I spend a lot of time with and I am thankful for them. I love wildlife, but I would not want to meet up with that gator by myself.

  6. Love the alligator pics, as long he's out there away from where I want to be! LOL. Love that you stay in touch with your "old" friends. I hope you have a wonderful lunch with Shirley today. It's a nice day to be indoors dining with a friend. Kind of a gray, chilly day here. Have a wonderful weekend.

  7. Oh I love that - how wonderful - I do know it is hard to lose one by death or moving.
I have one with six and we lost one to a move. But some of the gals are sick now.
    Have fun.
    Love the gator.

  9. Yes, good friends are the gifts we give ourselves! Don't think I'm crazy ("ier") but for some reason yesterday I was walking around singing, "Make good friends but keep the old, some are silver and the others gold."
I hope you and Shirley enjoy a great time together!

  12. What a friend we have in Jesus was my grandmother's favorite hymn and it is a good one. That brings back memories! Looks like you had some awesome get together with your friends. I was thinking today about how much warmer I'd be in Florida, it's all white with snow now and the air is bitter cold! I wish we could stay longer in the winters. I'd also get that part of the year to see my Florida family and friends more! I hope I don't have so much doctor stuff going on soon but it's safer to keep things in close check after a cancer battle.
I like your heart background. I'm not good at doing backgrounds on here I'll have to play around with it someday.
I'm up late tonight because I started my chores late and I have laundry going, it wasn't a good morning to get up early!

  15. These are really motivating personal statement for nursing samples! Although creating my own has been a bit of an uphill struggle for me, observing how others have communicated their enthusiasm and dedication is inspiring. Any other suggestions as to what else might make your personal statements distinct?

  16. Seeking assistance with write my assignments for me can be tempting, but it's essential to consider the ethical implications. Assignments are designed to help you learn and develop skills, and outsourcing them may undermine that purpose. Instead, embrace the challenge, seek support when needed, and take pride in your own efforts.
