I had a great lunch and visit with my friend, Shirley, on Friday after work. We decided to try the new restaurant at Lakeland's airport. Waco Kitchen. It was fun to watch the planes landing and taking off while catching up since our last lunch. We both had a pulled pork sandwich and agreed they were delicious!
Lakeland Airport serves as a cargo hub for Amazon Prime. We watched one take off and three landed while we were there. In between the big cargo jets, there were a lot of small planes going out and coming in. It is a busy airport but just not big enough for a passenger hub yet.
I went to Publix after lunch for a few things then home. Saturday was just lazy. I was a greeter at church yesterday and not long after I got home from church it started raining. Really pouring!! My roof didn't leak!! Hooray!!
(If you missed my leaking roof, my neighbor used some tar on it and sealed the leak in my carport roof. $24.00 for the tar instead of hundreds if I called a roofer. Counting my blessings daily.)
A new week ahead and it can be full of blessings!!

That looks like a nice airport.
ReplyDeleteHooray for the $25 fix and a nice neighbor!
Great selfie, Terri! What a blessing, your neighbor's roof fix. Just yesterday, my son was remembering what his grandma told him -- for every mishap, you need to replace it with a blessing.
ReplyDeleteWe woke up to rain this morning but it sure looks pretty and green! Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteI love getting close to airports and watching all the flights coming in and out. One of our favorite things to do. There's an Amazon hub at the airport I'll be flying out of next week. How cool that your neighbor was able to fix your roof. Good neighbor's are such a blessing. Hope you have a great day, Terri!
ReplyDeleteThat restaurant certainly looks like a great place to have lunch, Terri. I do love watching the planes come and go at small airport. We have one in Kennesaw, but I don't think there is a restaurant there. Loved your photos, tool!
ReplyDeleteThat looks and sounds like a great place. Growing up in Pueblo, Colorado we had a smaller airport and often on Sundays dad would take us out to watch the planes come and go. I sure loved seeing your smiling faces too. Have a great week.
ReplyDelete"This is my Father's world, Oh let me ne're forget, that though the wrong seems oft so strong God is the Ruler yet!" Wow, thank the Lord for your neighbor and the can of tar on the roof leak! That's wonderful! The restaurant looks like a fun place. Glad the food was good too! Hope your week is beautiful and blessed.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun place to have lunch! I would have loved seeing the planes take off and land. My cousin and I used to park outside of Love Field in Dallas and what the planes come and go, it was really great at night!!
