Time
Perhaps we might talk about time and how we use it.
1. Early to bed, early to rise? Do you have usual times to go to bed and get up in the morning? Yes, I do. Since I am back to work, I go to bed by 9:00/9:30 and my alarm goes off at 5:45. How do they work out for you? That works well for me. I am happy when I get to sleep in on Saturdays and a little later on Sundays. I have always been a morning person so it's all okay.
2. Ecclesiastes says "To everything, there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven."
How much time is devoted to work, housework, and hobbies? What about religious pursuits like study, prayer, and services? In other words, how is your time apportioned? My more creative pursuits have taken a backseat because I work in the mornings and am not interested in concentrating on hobbies when I get home. I have prayer time and read my devotional every morning. When I retire again one of these days I will be able to go to Bible study at church again. Joe and I used to go and I miss it. Housework... meh. I do what I have to do and take extra care when guests are coming. It is what it is. I keep up with dishes and tidy as I go so dust and cat hair are my biggest problems.
3. Do you think you manage your time well or would you like to improve? How would you improve? I have always been pretty good at managing my time, even in school.
4. Do you think time travel is possible? Why or why not? I don't think it is possible. As much as I liked "Back to the Future" I would not want to mess with people's lives like that... or my own.

Wishing you a beautiful day Terri!!
ReplyDeleteGreat answers Terri! Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteIf I had my way, I'd be up till 1 every night and sleep till 9, but since I have to leave at 7:30, that doesn't work! :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on time travel - what a mess that would make!
I love your answers - seems you have a great head on your shoulder!!! Just right. I love your new blog background. Just right too.
ReplyDeleteIt was so good to see you on the blog roll again!! Enjoyed your answers, have a great day!!
ReplyDeleteEven being retired, I still prefer going to bed about 9-9:30. The dogs make sure I don't dilly-dally any later than 6. My best housecleaning gets accomplished 2-3 hours before company arrives. Whew.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you joined in and I enjoy learning more about you.
ReplyDeleteHi Terri: Time is flying, it seems like I was just married and now almost 46 years later I look back at all the wonderful years and things we have done.
ReplyDeleteYup in bed by 9 fifteen up at 4 a.m. Laundry on Monday's clean on Tuesday's.

Yes, I agree with you on everything...especially housework. Not my favorite thing to do, but when company's comin', look out! LOL. I hope you can retire again one of these days, but until you can, I know you are thankful for the good job you have. It sounds like it is perfect for you...but still..yeah, it would still be nice to be "free". I must say, tho, that I enjoy going to Dixie Cottage on the days we go. I look forward to seeing people and having a routine. It's been good for me. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad your are back, Terri! I finally wrote a new post today, so I guess I'm officially back here, too.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
You had a great post. I liked your answers. It is good to be here to say hello. Have a blessed evening.
ReplyDeleteHousework is not my favorite but when it needs to be done, I'm on it. Inviting guests to the home is a great incentive!!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your answers! We head to bed around 9:00-9:15 and get up at 5:00. I agree with you on housework -- not my fav!!
