My blogging friend, Debbie, started Friday Foto Friends quite a few years ago. She is venturing back to Blogger and mentioned that she just might start hosting this Friday meme again. I hope so!! Debbie, if you see this - you have been missed!!
I don't have much to share for new photos but do have this one...
When we were on the tour of Tenoroc last week, with Joey and Darlene, we saw these five Sandhill Cranes. It is hard to tell the family dynamics but I was so excited to see five of them together!!
I had my cataract surgical consultation yesterday. Bill and Dee took me since I was told my eyes would be so dilated. It wasn't any worse than usual so I don't understand the big deal they made of it. It was nice to visit with my neighbors for the ride over and back, and then they took me out for an early supper. I tried to pay but they wouldn't let me do that. I am blessed over and over.
I was given lots of information and an appointment for two weeks when they will do some 'important' measuring and will talk to me about how to proceed. I'm also considering just a change in my glasses to help me cope for a little while yet. We'll see...
Wishing you all a blessed weekend ahead!!
Jesus is all the world to me,
My life, my joy, my all;
He is my strength from day to day,
Without Him, I would fall...

OH, I love that hymn you just quoted above..."when I am sad, to Him I go, no other one can cheer me so, When I am sad, He makes me glad, He's my friend." Amen! I didn't know you were contemplating cataract surgery. I've heard that it makes a world of difference in our vision when we get those new implants. I don't think I am ready for surgery yet, but the eye Dr. did say that there are some cataracts beginning. Time will tell. Keep us posted as to what you decide. So nice of your neighbors to take you and then out to supper! You are definitely blessed with good neighbors and friends in your life! How fun to see the Sand Hill Cranes there. I wonder if they are the migrating ones that will fly back up north soon, or if they are some who stay here year round like mine do. They are very interesting birds, for certain. You must read my latest post about my little family yesterday afternoon. I didn't realize how connected I had become until then... Have a blessed Friday and weekend. Hope it's a peaceful one for you.
ReplyDeleteI am getting my cataracts done in May. I did and most of my friends picked the same option. I don't really mind my glasses. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got to spend time with friends at least. And I hope things work out. It's hard to decide on how much to have done or what can wait. Love the Crane family!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures of the cranes. Praying for the decision you need to make about cataract surgery. Asking God to give you clarity about which way to go. Take care my friend and have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh, how I've missed all my friends and visiting. I'm going to try my best to start back...I think it'll be good therapy for me. Hope you have a great weekend and I'll be praying for your upcoming appointments and surgery.
ReplyDeleteI'm still postponing my second cataract surgery, too, Terri, but I will have to take the plunge at some point. Love the Sand Hill crane photo!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
What a nice place to work! Between Art and Nature... now that is a win win.. I spent my work career in hospitals.. if I had to do it again... but it was very rewarding.
ReplyDeleteThose cranes are majestic!
ReplyDeleteNice to have such good friends. It made the appt more fun to have them drive you and go for supper afterward,
PS - I enjoy the songs you post at the end. I often find myself singing to them as I read. :)
Love the sandhill cranes!
ReplyDeleteI'm interested in hearing what you decide regarding the cataracts. In retrospect, I'm happy I did it/them but the jury's still out on my sight. They said by April 6 the doctor will make a decision on a prescription -- or, like his tech recommended, I should be just fine using a pair of Walgreens readers.
