Friday Fotos...

I haven't been taking photos this week but I do have a few I haven't shared with you yet, so here they are:

My new across-the-street neighbors, Dee, Bill, and Princess Leah.  We were all out front to watch the golf cart Christmas parade.  It didn't come by our homes but turned at the street a few houses away.  We were bummed.  We saw them, but not close enough for pictures.  Princess was all decked out and ready...

Our beautiful Lake Morton (bird sanctuary).  That is a swan swimming...

I have a breezeway, a screened-in area between my back door and the shed.  I don't let the cats out there unsupervised but they were curious a few days ago.  I let them have some fun for a few minutes.

The front entrance at work... Paolo was working late one evening and took a picture of the Christmas tree lighted and the shadow-box all lit up.  He thought it looked great and sent the photo to me (so it is his picture).  It does look nice.

I didn't go see Helen yesterday and also didn't hear from anyone.  I will check in today.  I have a Christmas party to attend this evening.  Judy and Tim are hosting our Thursday Supper Club group at their house.  It will be a nice evening.  On Saturday, I am taking Marlene and Duane to the Tampa airport so they can go back to Wisconsin to spend Christmas with their kids and grandkids.  Lots of our snowbird neighbors go back north for Christmas.  Others just don't come until January.

Peace & hugs!

Oh, come, oh come, Emmanuel...

  1. What a bummer that the parade didn't "parade" past your house! But it looks like you and your neighbors had fun waiting and watching anyway. I love their front porch and pretty door! I wish our neighbors across the street would hurry up and finish that house that was moved in a few months ago. It still hasn't been finished and I'm beginning to wonder if it ever will be. Oh well...such is life in "the big city". LOL. I love the swan on the lake picture! So peaceful and lovely. And I didn't know you had that nice little screened breezeway. The kitties look like they like it there! Fresh air!! They can smell the birds in the air and they probably want to go exploring! LOL. I do love the picture from your work of the fish and tree, etc. It does look pretty like that. Oh, another dinner party? At least you didn't have to prepare for that one! I love how you have so many friends and dinner engagements. Happy times. So sweet of you to take your friends to the airport. Nice they can go home for Christmas. I hope the wintry weather doesn't slow them down in their flights. Praying for their safe travels. Yes, we are seeing more snowbirds arriving here as well. Our church has several people who are snowbirds. It's always nice to see them come back, and sad to see them leave again, but I am happy for them they can enjoy the warmer weather here for the winter, and then go be back in their home near their families again. I'm not sure I could do that back and forth away from the kids, but then again, I wouldn't want to stay up north in the winter either. Praying still for Helen and all that is yet to come. (((hugs))) and love to you dear lady. You are a true friend.

  2. What a wonderful assortment of pictures you shared, Terri! Sorry the golf cart parade turned off too soon. Enjoy your upcoming dinner party. Praying for Helen. I would have left a comment (picking earrings #3) on your Thursday post, but the post a comment thing was missing.

  3. What a cute pup your new neighbors have. So sorry the parade turned before your house, but I'm glad you still got a view of it. Have a blessed day.

  4. I am sorry they didn't come by your place- you were all so ready. I just love your place and your friends. So you live there all year round - I suppose others do too.

  5. Sorry to hear that the parade eluded you this year, Terri. I miss the 4th of July parade the little town of Oxford held every year. My dad was actually the parade marshall one year. So many great memories in this wonderful town.
    Blessings!
Oh, by the way, I loved your card!

  6. Bummer on that detour the parade took! Can y'all demand a do over? Princess Leah is adorable ... I love her name. Now I'm wondering how/if she and Bella will get along.
Hoping you enjoy a great time at the Christmas party tonight!
