Sunday Stealing...

Thanks to Bev (and welcome back) for today's questions!  You can join in HERE!

Yes, I'm back!

Hi! I'm your host Bev Sykes of the blog "Funny the World". . Welcome to Sunday Stealing.  Here we will steal all types
of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most
interesting and intelligent questions. Cheers to all of us thieves!

Stolen from League of Extraordinary Penpals

1.   Have you ever written to a celebrity?  When I was in Jr. High, yes. Did they respond?
Yes, they sent a picture as I requested.  I had quite a collection at one time.  I was inspired
by my mom, who gave me her collection of movie star pictures.  I gave them all to my niece,
Sara.  Mine were fake signatures but my mom's photos were really signed and some
were personalized.

 2.  Do you read letters immediately, or wait until ready to reply. Immediately!!

 3.   My preferences when it comes to reading.  Mysteries, historical, fun...

 4.   What I'm least likely to change my mind about.  Politics.

 5.   The topics I would get wrong about during trivia.  Any questions about sports.

 6.   What I'm hopeful about right now?  That I can "retire" again one of these days.

 7.   Philosophies I've learned/embraced from others. Be patient. I'm working on it!

 8.   What makes a home feel like home?  Love.

 9.   Talents and skills I like to cultivate.  I would still like to play piano.

10.   What makes my heart race.  Joe used to make my heart race!!

11,  What power means to me.  110w for most appliances and 220w for the stove & dryer...
(winking)

12.  Some of my comfort hobbies.   Eating has become a comforting hobby.  Sigh.

13.  Last time I was pleasantly surprised.  When my new neighbor, Marlene, called me to
ask some questions about good doctors in the area.  She just wants to have someone to call
if she or Duane need someone.  I was happy she felt she could ask me.

14.  How was my October 2022? My October was great because my son, Joey, drove me to
Maryland, so we could be with family...

15.   Those who inspire my growth. Joe always did and the best mentor I had, other than him,
was my co-worker at the Museum, Judy. Her husband is my Sunday school teacher so
he inspires my spiritual growth as we work through Romans this year. If the question is about
the growth of my hips, see #12.

Peace & hugs!

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow...

  3. When it comes to politics, my mind is definitely set, too, Terri. I so love that great photo from your recent family reunion. Isn't family the best?

  4. As you often do, this post put a smile on my face. Yes, I am tempted to make eating a hobby, but am trying to resort to something else.

  5. #11 for the best response ever! *Still giggling*
I'm right there with you on #'s 4 and 12. Wow, is RE-retirement on the horizon? Cross fingers!

  7. I always enjoy your straightforward answers! And fun too. Love the picture of your family and am so glad you were able to go. Re: "Re-retirement"...I hope you can work it out in a reasonable amount of time. I know it's hard to be tied down to a job, especially at our "age", but at least the one you have seems to suit you well and it looks like a happy place to work. I find that I enjoy "working" at Dixie Cottage, although we are volunteers, which is good in some ways...we don't have to worry about losing our job...LOL, but then again we could always use the money...but we are happy to help the kids out and it is good for us to be out doing something positive every day. Oh, I'm so glad you have such good neighbors and that they also seem to appreciate you and respect you. That is a huge blessing...as well as your wonderful church too. God has put you in a good place. I will be praying for your future financial situation. God knows and He is taking care of it, I am certain.

  9. That's a great family photo! I'm so grateful that our family likes to get together. The piano! When I was a little I showed promise at playing the piano but didn't take lessons until I was an adult. After months of lessons, I still hadn't learned anything more than Scales. I sold the piano and our family bought bicycles. I have an electric keyboard now and just last week thought about getting it back out again. There's just something about sitting in front of those keys and the light pressure of them under my fingers...
