Friday Fotos After Nicole...

Nicole is on her way north as I type this.  I woke up around 5:00 a.m. and the wind was blowing hard and the rain was pounding down.  That lasted, maybe, two hours or so.  Then the wind settled and it was just constant rain until mid-afternoon.   I took this silly video from the back of my house, through the screen.

I was up earlier than I hoped to be but turned on the weather channel, made some coffee, and decided French toast would taste good.  It was.  I watched the news for a while and answered texts and messages from family and friends wondering how I was doing (thank you!!).  I watched some Chateau DIY and decided I needed to get something done other than sitting in front of the TV all day.

I cleaned out the vanities in the bathrooms and got a trash bag full of junk to toss.  I dusted, vacuumed, and then mopped floors.  I cleaned the guest bathroom.  Tonight I am having friends over for dinner.  Former neighbors from the old neighborhood, Bob & Ginny, and my cat-sitter (and Ginny's sister) Mary Jane. It will be fun catching up with them all.

Wishing you a happy weekend!!

Thank a Veteran for his or her service!!

Peace & hugs!
Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!!

  1. I am glad you are safe and sound. I had to work, and it was miserable driving to and from work-since I am an essential worker for the State of FL. I stayed soaked all day from head to toe (walking from the car and to the gates of the prison is a long walk). Listening to the winds and rain all day was miserable too. At least I got to leave at 4, grin. ANYWAYS, sending you many hugs, sooooooooo do you wanna come here and help unpack? LOLOLOLOLOL J/K

  3. It rained here almost all night, but this morning we can see the sun poking it's heard through the clouds and no rain right now. Glad you didn't have it too bad where you are. Stay safe and enjoy your day and your dinner with friends.

  6. So glad Nicole didn't linger like Ian!
Could be I was feeling your stress yesterday morning because I began cleaning with an uncharacteristic passion. (For the record, I LOATHE grout.)

I hope your little dinner party tonight is great fun!

  8. So glad that Nicole is gone and you are safe! French toasts always sounds great in my opinion! You were really keeping yourself busy on a rainy day. We are getting hit soon with Nicole here in Pennsylvania. Have a great weekend!

  9. Glad and relieved to know you are safe and sound, Terri! Nicole brought us some rain here, too, and Lord knows we needed it. It's been so very dry.
Sounds like you have a wonderful evening with friends planned for tonight. That makes all the hard work of housecleaning well worth it. Hope you enjoy every moment!
    Blessings!
