Let's share our home secrets with one another. Maybe you have some ideas other ladies would love to hear about.
1. What household tool or appliance do you rely on a lot? My stick vacuum cleaner. It is quick to use and picks up cat hair, cat litter, and cat treat crumbs.
2. Which laundry detergent, fabric softener, and dish detergent work best for you? I use Purex laundry detergent. Love it. I don't use fabric softener but do use dryer sheets (whatever is on sale). Dawn dish detergent.
3. What soap do you like to use? Dove bar soap. Where do you have soap in your home... bathroom, kitchen, shower? Yes.
4. What is the secret to a clean home in your opinion? Hiring someone else to do it!!

ReplyDeleteYes, I agree with your answer to #4 also, and I said so in my post as well. I wish I could afford a housekeeper maybe even just once a month would be nice.
ReplyDeleteI cracked up at your last answer, hahaha! My secret to a clean home is having company coming. Otherwise, with no animals living here I struggle to have the motivation to clean.

ReplyDeleteI hear you about cleaning, Terri! We have a young lady who comes once a month to give our house a real deep cleaning; I'm able to maintain it in the interim with only the two of us living here.

I love my stick vacuum! We have an upright Oreck, but it's ridiculously heavy to move about. (Does that count as cardio exercise?) I don't need a housekeeper, but gosh I WANT one!

I've been to a couple other blogs with this meme today, and on each one I've said my favorite is my stick vac! So easy to use on all types of floors. :) I always knew you were smart! I like the idea of having someone else do it too!
ReplyDeleteOh I must look into getting a stick vac. I hate to drag out the vacuum cleaner to sweep the crumbs up.
ReplyDeleteI would be embarrassed to have a maid see all of my secret messes and right out in the open disorganization, so I would have to work really so hard cleaning it all up before a maid came that, quite frankly I don't have the stamina for doing all-at-once cleaning anymore. My husband and I clean as we can. He does more than I am physically able to, but we can do well enough.
ReplyDeleteI would really like to get a stick vacuum cleaner and a small floor scrubber with circular brushes to clean our floors to sanitize them. We recently got a puppy that is learning wee pad training.
We are having cooler nights now, after a blistering hot summer, as the weather gets cooler , I get more in the mood to clean, unfortunately my body can't do as much as I would like.
