Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 474
2. Do you like waffles? Yes. Make your own or 'leggo my Eggo? Eggos are okay now and then. Joe loved them more than I do. I have a waffle maker but haven't used it in a long time. Any favorite toppings or add-ins? Blueberries are good. Lots of butter and syrup. Waffles or pancakes-which do you prefer? I like pancakes better but, truth be told, I would rather have hashbrowns or homefries as my breakfast starch. Once in a while, pancakes are good.
3. Do you have any mementos from this summer (or past summers)? What do you do with them? I quit collecting travel things years ago and just take photos now. I like having photos of places I've gone and who was also there.
4. One thing you'd like to do before summer ends? Not a thing I can think of. I'm looking forward to the D'Orsaneo reunion in October.
5. Life is too short to have regrets.
6. Insert your own random thought here. I met my new across-the-street neighbors today! Their furniture arrived and we were all outside at the same time. Dee and Bill are not snowbirds. They have been in Florida a long time, having lived in the Villages for 14 years and then in a community over in Winter Haven. They wanted to move to Lakeland and liked Mas Verde. I invited them to join in on Thursdays for dinner. Dee said not this week but it sounds fun so next week. Their dog is Princess. My cats are bigger than Princess but she is very cute.

Sounds like you have good neighbors! Enjoy your day sweet lady!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got to meet the neighbors. Hope you all become great friends.
ReplyDeleteMore hash browns, please! I can't remember the last time I had a 'real' waffle or pancakes, but it's probably been decades. Sure hope Dee and Bill turn out to be a good, friendly fit!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you have permanent residents for your neighbors. Enjoy your day.. :)
ReplyDeleteYour new neighbors sound wonderful, Terri, and that's such good news. :) I do love pancakes and waffles - it's so much fun when Danny decides to have breakfast for dinner.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
So happy for you to have met the new year round neighbors! I am sure they will enjoy the peace and quiet of your neighborhood after having lived in The Villages. LOL. They are very fortunate (blessed) to have landed on your street across from you! We like eggos every so often, and yes, blueberries on top are always good, but usually I just use butter and syrup. I like to have eggs and sausage too to balance it out. Well, have fun this week...it's raining again here now. Still Waters Pond is happy. And so am I. Bye for now.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your new across-the-street neighbors have moved in and you've been able to meet them. Now your street is complete!
ReplyDeleteAs for waffles, I love them, love the texture.
Thanks for stopping by! Reading everyone's answers is always such fun to me. What a thoughtful gesture to welcome your new neighbors. Blessings abundant!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on vacation - I love to take pictures, and rarely buy mementos.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you met the neighbors. They have to be good people if they have a cat!
Definitely pictures instead of "stuff" from vacations!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy you met your neighbors and that they will not be leaving for half the year. How nice of you to welcome them already!
Glad you have permanent new neighbours. Hope they fit in well with your community.
