Tuesday 4...

Thanks to Annie and Pamela for today's questions!  You can join in right HERE!

Tuesday 4

Kitchen Dreams

Welcome to Tuesday 4 in memory of Toni Taddeo!

This week's questions were provided by Pamela Steiner who has the Closed Doors Open Windows blog.

1.  They say the kitchen is the heart of the home...tell us about YOUR kitchen. What is your favorite part of your kitchen?  My kitchen has tons of cupboard space and my favorite part is that it is an eat-in kitchen.  I can seat six comfortably in the kitchen without putting the dining room table into service.

2.  If money were no object, what would be your "dream kitchen"?  I would love to update the countertops to quartz and change the backsplash. I would also like to take out one section of cupboards to make room for a huge fridge/freezer.

3.  Tell us about a favorite memory from your kitchen, or from a kitchen in your past, perhaps your mother's kitchen or your grandma's kitchen?  Oh, I have tons of good memories of grandmas' kitchens and my mom's kitchen.  Family gatherings, laughter, gossip, tons of good food, dishes to wash and dry while the women talk...

4.  If you could invite anyone in the world (either past or present) to come to visit with you in your kitchen, who would it be, and why?  I would never ask to bring my loved ones back from Heaven but wouldn't it be lovely to have one more big family gathering with all of my loved ones who have crossed over... someday we will all be together again. I'm counting on that!

Peace & hugs!!

  1. My fave part of my kitchen is my kitchen table. My least fave is that we can only fit a small fridge because of how the cabinets were built.
    Have a great day!

  3. Terri,

One day, there will be a great reunion when we all get to heaven. Love that old gospel song! I enjoyed reading all of your answers, my dear. Thanks for sharing!

  4. So many great memories kitchens make for all of us, Terri. Is that photo of your actual kitchen? If it is, then it's really cute!

  6. Oh, I agree with you on #4, and I definitely look forward to the family reunion in heaven. But it would be so wonderful to have my mother and grandmothers here again...there's so much I'd love to ask them that I never thought of when they were here. Thank you for playing along today. Your kitchen sounds perfect!!! Yes, I do wish I had room for a freezer. That is one thing we need. Or an extra refrigerator again. I miss that. Happy Tuesday!

  7. Ample cupboard space ... yes! What sweet memories you have of family gatherings! Any plans to treat yourself and make one or more of those changes? I'd love to visit your kitchen again someday and taste one of your amazing pizzelles! 😋

  8. I am right there with you on your answer for number 4.
I am going to have to replace my refrigerator soon and it will be interesting because I have a finite amount of space where one will fit. I think the French door fridge of my dreams will not be an option. Oh, well!

  10. I thought about it...and I think it would be nice to go back in time and be sitting at the children's table at my grandmothers. I think she and a lot of the women stayed in the kitchen and sat on stools and ate! I loved those big gatherings!

  11. I so agree with you about bringing anyone back from heaven. I imagine they would feel so....sad after being in God's presence. I did say my grandmother and my aunt, though, for the sake of the question. I also said the same thing about the kitchen memories. It was all about having all the family together. Hope you are having a wonderful week, Terri!

  13. It would be nice to have more cupboard space. Ours is teeny tiny. At least it keeps me from buying machines I'd probably never use. *lol* I enjoyed your memories.
    Blessings. xx

  16. Oh, yeah, wouldn't quartz countertops be lovely! I would like that as well! You have such a warm and friendly heart, so I have no doubt that your kitchen is warm and friendly. And, yes, to have our loved ones with us for just one more family gathering would be lovely.

  17. LOVE the picture you posted of a kitchen. All that white and red is inspiring to me. I can attest that your table in your eat-in-kitchen is plenty big and very comfortable!!!
