Not quite 5,000 questions, part 2

Hi! I'm your host Bev Sykes of the blog "Funny the World". . Welcome to Sunday Stealing. This feature originated and was published on WTIT: The Blog. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. Cheers to all of us thieves!

Stolen from 5000 questions

1. If America is one nation under God then are atheists citizens?  No "if" about it, and of course, they are..

2. Is there anything that you believe should be banned for any reason?  It is not for me to judge. I could make a very long list but, again, it is not for me to judge.

3. How often do you eat too much?  Every day. Every day.

4. If you died tomorrow, what mark would you have left on the world?  I just hope I will be missed for a while and that memories of me cause a smile.

5. Are you a city person or a country person?  Small town/Country.

6. What annoys you the most about yourself?  That I eat too much every day.

7. Who was your childhood hero?  Nancy Drew.

8. With nearly 100 channels why is NOTHING ever on?  I can usually find something to watch now that I don't have cable anymore and have Hulu,  AcornTV, and Netflix.

9. Would you adopt a stray kitty wandering through your neighborhood?  In a minute.  I have no control when it comes to good food and cats.

10. Which Lord of the Rings movie has the best ending?  I have only seen one (I think) and it was so long ago I don't remember much about it.

11. What are you missing in your life?  Spending life with Joe.

12. What could you make a sculpture out of that's in the room with you right now?  Sculpting material?  Candy from the candy dish, I guess. It's the only thing that could be used to make a sculpture without breaking up the furniture.

13. Do you believe in the lost city of Atlantis?  Yes.

14. Have you ever read The Little Prince?  No.

15. What fantasy book would you like to see made into a movie?  I'm not that into fantasy books so haven't a clue.

Peace & hugs!
Have a blessed Sunday!

  1. As you know, Danny and I no longer have any pets, but there is a part of me that wishes a stray kitty would come along and decide we are the ones to give it a home. I can dream, can't I? And speaking of TV, I know I'm late to the party, but I finally started watching Downton Abbey - talk about addictive! I have to be careful not to just get mindlessly sucked in.
    Have a wonderful Sunday, Terri!

  2. Eating is a comfort response. Once I addressed that I changed my way of eating. Intermittent fasting is good for our bodies. Since I have (or had?) low blood sugar, I didn't think I could do that. It took me about 6 months to garner the courage, but, now that I learned I CAN do without sugar/carbs and skip meal(s), I am so much healthier. I definitely recommend it. It does bring a person closer to God when fasting. Never understood that 'til now.
Steve and I have rescued many dogs. The one we have now, Maggie, is the best dog I've ever owned, hands down. Rescuing is such a rewarding experience.
I hope you have a wonderful day at Church!
    Love & Hugs xx

  5. Yes, to Sparky's first sentence. Comfort, indeed! Love your response to #1; and #2 makes me want to emulate you. (Not quite there, yet. LOL)
Have a wonderful day, dear Terri! xo

  7. I once sort of adopted a stray (feral) kitten, after the rest of its feral siblings had to go bye bye because of serious upper respiratory infection. Callie was the only one healthy enough to survive. I wanted to keep her so badly, but hubby didn't want a pet in the house. But we were making her comfortable outside and she and I had really bonded. About the time I was making arrangements to have her spayed, she just disappeared. I was heart broken, but it was probably for the best. Now I say never again, unless God just drops one in my lap and I can't say no. My sister is really "the cat lady" in the family. Anyway, I enjoyed your answers and I admire your courage and strength so much. I know it is God working in you, and I also understand that you will always miss your dear Joe, but I believe he would be proud of the way you have persevered in the midst of your sorrow. That is definitely a "God thing". Bless you, dear friend. Have a wonderful week. Oh, how was your dinner with the boss and his wife? I hope it was fun.

  9. Since we gave up cable we often wonder why we held on to it for so long. When it comes to LOTR it seems not many of us are all that into it. I enjoyed them when they came out, but I watched them once and have never watched them again. Hugs. I know it must be tough to go on without Joe, but just think...every day is one day closer to being together again!
