Friday Foto Time...

      (I don't know what #OOTD means!)

Fridays seem to roll around quickly these days and another one arrived with no new photos to share!  There have been opportunities but I neglected to get any.  Except for this silly one of the brown paper table covering...

My friend and former co-worker, Kalisa, and I finally made it to Mr. & Mrs. Crab.  Been there, done that.  The food was okay but ridiculously expensive for what we got.  I ordered a combination meal that included four coconut shrimp, six medium small scallops, a golf-ball-size crab cake, and some very puny clam strips for $18.95.  The sides were separate and the cajun fries were good, but cost $5.95.  I don't mind paying for good food and nice portions.  What I had was neither.  Kalisa ordered steamed shrimp with a potato and corn for $30.00.  Way overpriced and I probably won't go back.  BUT, it was great fun visiting with Kalisa!

It has been over three months since my last pedicure.  I made an appointment for this afternoon! We still have sandal weather for another month or so here in Florida.

Wishing you all a great weekend!

Peace & Hugs!
Jesus loves us! Count on it!

  1. So sorry to hear that the restaurant was nowhere near your expectations, Terri. Those prices are outrageous!!! At least, you got in a nice visit with Kalisa.
    Have a blessed weekend!

  2. Poohy on that restaurant. There are far too many good ones to pay that.
    You have a fun weekend.

  3. Yikes on those prices! I noticed yesterday when I was tagging the sugar (getting ready for inventory), that a 4 lb bag was $2.29! YIKES. And that was our stores brand, not the name brand. ANYWAYS...I hope you have a beautiful weekend, my friend.

    1. Hmmm, Linda, our store brand has been around $3.00 on its normal price. I stock up when it goes on sale. It's crazy out there these days...

  4. Wow, Terri, yes, those prices sound terrible, especially if the food wasn't all that great. But I am so glad you had a good visit with your friend. That made it worth it all I am sure. I'm glad at least you got a picture of the placemat as a souvenir! LOL. Oh, a pedicure? I am so envious! I've never had one, and I really NEED one. My toenails are getting so ugly in my old age. Once in a while I cover them with some polish so I can wear sandals, but I am not a sandal person anyway so I just keep them covered most the time. But I still would love a pedicure just for health's sake as well as it would make me feel good I know!! Maybe I will treat myself to one for my birthday this month. Good idea! Thanks for suggesting it! Love ya. Have a great weekend.

  6. How disappointing your lunch ...ugh on them! My BF in St. Pete was saying how much she wanted to order Ipswich clams, but they were asking $38! Wicked!
'Fraid, like Pam, my toes are becoming old n' ugly. 'Was thinking of wearing sandals Saturday night, but I'm not willing to spring for a pedicure. I hope yours is enjoyable!

  7. At least the visit was good and you got a picture of a cute table cloth. Too bad about the food and prices.

  9. Bummer that your dinner was expensive and only so-so, but what a joy to spend time with a friend. Ah, a pedicure. My daughter and I are going for one next week. She is 37 weeks now, and she finds it nearly impossible to do her toes, so I thought it would be a fun pamper ourselves outing for the two of us before the baby comes. Bloglovin has been working for me---I've added in the blogs I follow, and they are showing up in my feed. Have you ever tried Bloglovin? Do you like Feedly better? I'm new to any of it, as I have always just used the Blogger blogroll. For some strange reason, though, most blogs aren't showing up on there these days.

  10. Well gee, I’m so glad that you had a friend with you who made up for the food disappointments. That sounds pretty ridiculous. I failed this year to ever get a pedicure, and every time I wore sandals, I felt a little tacky. I may yet get one before winter gets here and we wear socks again. I hope you have a lovely weekend.
