The Tuesday 4...

Thanks to Annie for today's questions!  You can join in right HERE!

Tuesday 4

The Wild West

It's time for Tuesday 4 - an invention of our late friend Toni Taddeo.

Let's talk about The Wild West!

1. Do you have a favorite TV western you enjoyed? Tell us about it.  I liked Bonanza and had a crush on Hoss (yes, not Michael Landon's Little Joe... Dan Blocker's Hoss).

2. Lots of western movies... which was one you enjoyed?  Not crazy about westerns but I did love Australia (not really a western, but still about cows and horses).  If you haven't seen it, it is definitely worth the time to see.  Based on a true story, too.

3. John Wayne was in many westerns and had many fans. What actor is your favorite?  I always love Sam Elliott.

4. You are going to have to move to a western state that has cowboys! Which state will you choose and why?  Texas - because I like how they roll.  God bless them!!

Peace & hugs!
Jesus loves you and me!!

PS:  If you saw my post yesterday, I mentioned that the wedding venue was in a tent.  I forgot to post a picture of "the tent".  Not really a "tent".  A beautiful venue!

  1. Wow! That wedding "tent" is magnificent! What a beautiful setting for a wedding! I loved Bonanza too, but I don't recall having a crush on any of them at the time. I just remember it was the first TV show we ever saw in color at my Aunt and Uncle's house in Pittsburgh, PA! We didn't have a color TV for a long time after that, so seeing that at their house was a real treat. I thought they must be really rich! They weren't, but they did have a nice house and TV. LOL. I used to love the old westerns on TV, Roy Rogers, Gene Autrey, Zorro, The Lone Ranger, etc. Those were the days! Hope you have a nice day today.

  4. Aw, 'Hoss' ... the sweetest one. So sad, his premature passing.
I remember when Roy Rogers, Dale and Gene were 'appointment TV.' Not so much anymore, tho' Tom usually watches the GRIT channel every afternoon.

PS - I like the way Texas rolls, too! thumbs up

  7. WOW! What a beautiful "tent" for the wedding of your niece! Very impressive.

As for going to a state w/cowboys, of course it would be Colorado for me, since that's my fav place and I have so many memories there.

And favorite TV/movie Western cowboy? Hmm. I liked the sheriff in Gunsmoke and of course, John Wayne.

  8. That's a "tent"!? Must be in Texas! LOL I **love** Texas. Could totally live there. I like how they roll too.
I'm not much into Westerns either. Never have been but there's a couple of films that are worth a watch: Silverado, True Grit (John Wayne), Open Range, to name a couple. I do like Robert Duvall. He's a true thespian. I'll have to check out "Australia". It's free on YouTube.
    Love xx
