Thanks to Bev Sykes for today's questions. You can join in HERE!
I stole this a long time ago from "100 Questions" but don't have the link.
1. What's your favorite TV channel to watch in the middle of the night? I go to bed by 9:00-9:30!! Middle-of-the-night TV watching hasn't happened in years and years. I do love AcornTV though!
2. Which decade do you feel the most special connection to and why? I feel connected to every decade but for different reasons. Loved ones, friends, jobs, life in general... it's all been good. I am blessed.
3. What is your favorite oldie/classic rock song? There are too many that I like... Eagles, Blood Sweat & Tears, CCR, Three Dog Night, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Youngs, Seals & Croft, Righteous Bros... I can't just name a song. Love them all.
4. What Disney villain are you the most like and why? I am not fluent in Disney characters and sure hope I am not like any villain!!
5. Have you ever been a girl scout/boy scout? I was in the Bluebirds and then the Camp Fire Girls.
6. If you were traveling to another continent would you rather fly or take a boat? Depends on how far I'm going but I would go either way - if I can't drive.
7. What are three of your favorite dog names of all time? I've only had two dogs and liked their names... Happy and Sarge.
8. How do you feel when you see a rainbow? Blessed by our God and His amazing promise!
9. If you were in the Land of Oz would you want to live there or go home? Go home, definitely.
10. What is the first word that comes to mind when you see the word:
Today is Joe's birthday. Another one of those "firsts" to get through as the months continue to go by. I'm doing okay. I miss him something awful. My life and my heart are full of his love and the memories are all happy. This gives me a place to honor his memory and I thank you for indulging me!! Happy birthday, Joe!
What delightful pictures of Joe. (I love kissing pictures!)
ReplyDeleteAs for travel to another continent, many years ago my great aunt was telling my grandmother (her sister) that they were going to go to the Netherlands to see her husband's family. When my grandmother asked if they were going to fly or go by ship, my great aunt said (as if it were a silly question) "By bus!" 🙄
P.S. And may the Lord's comfort be strongly felt on this memorable day. I feel for you, dear dear Terri.
ReplyDeleteIt's a hard day for sure for you. I will keep you in prayers throughout the day. I am so thankful that God gave you that wonderful man but I am also sorry you have to continue life without him now.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics of Joe. *hug*
ReplyDeleteLove the photos of Joe and you, Terri. Know I will hold you close in my thoughts and prayers today especially.
ReplyDeleteSending extra hugs, love, and good thoughts today. It's sad for you, but can you just imagine the birthday he's having up there with Jesus?! What a party!
ReplyDeleteSad day for you indeed.. I do share your taste in music!
ReplyDeleteGreat answer to #2, Terri! All contribute to the tapestry we're weaving.
ReplyDeleteThese anniversaries of the heart are oftentimes a bitter pill. Whenever I get sad, I'm going to remember what Stacy just said. Hugs and prayers, dear one!
I feel the same about the rainbow, I also always think about Noah and his faithfulness. Happy Birthday in heaven to Joe, I can only imagine how much you miss him. ((hugs))
ReplyDeleteHi, Terri. I am still having trouble getting blog updates to show up on my Blogger blogroll. Now, several others aren't showing up. It's only if I pop by your blog that I can see that you have updated. Oh, yes, I'm sure Joe's birthday was a hard day for you. I have no doubt that you miss him very much! May your memories of the many beautiful years you had together bring comfort and joy to you, even in the midst of your sorrow.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Patti
You could never be a villian!
ReplyDeleteAnd, I love how you honor Joe. I always enjoy your memories.
I have been AWOL. I hope Darlene is doing well. I will look back to see if you gave an update while I have been out. I know you miss that Joe.
ReplyDeleteYou know I love all my decades too. Each one has a special time period in it. How could I ever choose?!
We are so happy to indulge your sweet memories of Joe, Terri! Share away!
