Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 406

Snug as a bug in a rug. It is cold (for us) here in central Florida and I have felt a cold coming on so have stayed snug in the house drinking hot tea with honey and having chicken soup for dinner. I've gotten through an entire year without a cold and all of a sudden, coughing and blowing. No fever, no flu-like symptoms. I am the queen of colds and usually suffer through two a year. Yuck. I don't feel bad though and hope it is short-lived. It almost seems like more of an allergy than a cold. I told Joe it might be just a reaction to the vaccine since it kind of started on day 3 after the shot. Who knows.
5. Your favorite sign of spring? Strawberries!! And they are ripe!!
6. Insert your own random thought here. We are enjoying another series on Netflix called Last Tango in Halifax. British shows are so good! Check it out if you are looking for something new to stream! We are still also watching New Tricks and also The Americans. Sometimes it is hard to remember things we did before we became TV slugs.

Cold here and we had some snow this past week. I am also snug as a bug in a rug. Fresh strawberries (fresh, ripe fruit of any kind) yummy!
ReplyDeleteChilly here. Gus, the Springer Spaniel was about to go nuts yesterday because I didn't want to go for a walk. I will have to brave the cold today! I love strawberries and strawberry season.

Yes, I did. Last week. This is just an annoying head cold. No temmp, no nausea, snotty cough & nose. I'm not tired or achy.

ReplyDeleteBTW, Tom's DIL is an ICU nurse in Phoenix. Despite having had Covid, she still had a slight reaction to both vaccines: Sniffles, sore throat, etc.
Thanks, Myra. I've been comparing symptoms online. No temp, no sore throat, no aches, etc. It is just my nasty sinuses. Five of us had the vaccine at the same time and the other four are fine. This has nothing to do with it.
DeleteYour strawberries come in so early, how lucky you are! Hope you're feeling better soon. I have heard many here saying they had chills and body aches the day or two after dose number 2. We are still sorting out tv aggravations following the switch in providers. Hopefully we're on the road to making it all work.

ReplyDeleteI do hope you feel better soon. My friend had a reaction after her 2nd shot and she was pretty sick for a few days. I think she is fine now. It is allergy season too, the pollen is starting to fall I've noticed...so most likely that is what you are having...the yellow pine pollen is showing up... Love the strawberries. We are binge watching Sherlock Holmes shows, old ones first and working our way up. Never watched them before and we are enjoying them so much! Good pasttime on these very chilly/windy days. Take care and drink lots of fluids!! You know the drill. Praying you will feel better soon.

ReplyDeleteI didn't even think about fresh fruit being a sign of Spring. I think we get spoiled here in America because stores keep most of it around year round. But good answer!
ReplyDeleteFebruary is strawberry month here in central FL. The fields are full of berries and pickers and you can buy a flat for $12. Says spring for us!
