Elaine and I took our morning walk on Friday. Friday evening, Elaine and I went to Mr. Fish to pick up our order for supper. Hers was ready, but mine took another 30 minutes. It always takes a long time to get your food there because it is a popular place but I called the order in at 3:30. We got there a little before 4:30 and didn't leave until almost 5:00. You know me and my problem with patience.... enough said.
But... the food was good, as always. We were all full and played a game of Mexican Train after dinner, followed by brownies and mint chocolate ice cream. A fun night with good friends!
On Saturday, Joe and I went to Sam's Club for gasoline in the car (always the lowest price) and then to Publix for groceries. I got some laundry started and we decided we wanted BBQ for dinner. I called Elaine to see if they had dinner plans yet. They didn't so we all went to Sonny's BBQ. When we got home, they got Bella and all came over for ice cream. Bella is so sweet and so lovable!!
Yesterday, we went to church. Our pastor is home from the hospital but still at least another week, if not two, from coming back to work. Our visiting pastor brought us a great sermon. Joe took a nap in the afternoon. I decided to just be a slug and did nothing the rest of the day. We made sandwiches for dinner. No cooking.
There is nothing on the calendar today but we have a cold front coming through. Hoping to get motivated to walk. I didn't walk all weekend. I gotta get back at it!! How was your weekend?
It's February!!

I love that Bella thinks she's a lap dog. LOL. I think Bella needs her own blog like Lily. Life from the perspective of a sweet big doggie who thinks she's a lap dog! She is so pretty. I am glad your fish supper was still good after all that waiting. Yes, that is frustrating, especially when you called it in so early! Oh well, all's well that ends well. And Sonny's BBQ too in the same weekend? Wow! We had BBQ yesterday for lunch after church at a place called Hog Wild. It's very good and not far from town. We don't have too many options that aren't at least 12 miles or more, so the ones that are within 5-10 miles (only 2) get a lot of our attention. Hope you have a great week...yes, it is February already! Amazing...hope it's a good month!!
ReplyDeleteGood for you getting out there and walking! I'm sure it helps to have a buddy to do it with. Aw, Bella looks like she's enjoying the attention. How did the kitties take having a pup in the house? Daisy's nose is always out of joint when another animal invades her territory. We were slugs yesterday, too. It was so snowy and cold we didn't venture out. Have a blessed week!
ReplyDeleteOur cats don't like dogs in the house. We put the food up and the cats just go to the bedrooms and hide. As soon as the dog (several friends bring their dogs in) the cats come out and have to make sure all is well. It is comical sometimes!
DeleteBella is a cutie. BBQ sounds yummy.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Sounds like you had a great weekend with good friends and tasty food, Terri. And that Bella is something else!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
What a sweet dog....almost makes me want one.lol
ReplyDeleteWe finally saw some friends in person this weekend. We are more than two weeks out from the wedding now so it felt fine to be around people again. It's been cold here too (for the south) and I am ready for warmer weather. Glad you were able to get out and walk and have a buddy to do that with you. Have a nice week.
ReplyDeleteMy weekend wasn't as busy as yours!! WoW, that was a long wait for your food, I think my patience would have been tested. Once again, I'm so glad you have your BFF so close.
ReplyDeleteOoooh, I'd be so cross about your supper being late. Did they, at least get Elaine a new, hot meal? Love these pix of sweet Bella; looks like she's really taken a liking to y'all.
ReplyDeleteNo. No offers of anything. It will be awhile before I go back, good as their food is!
DeleteIt was like a snow day today, wasn't it? That wind was so icy we didn't try to get out! We are wimps! lol Sounds like a nice weekend. I love that dog...can I pet her? Hugs!
ReplyDeleteCome down for a day and you can pet Bella all you want!!
DeleteI'm so glad you have Jim and Elaine next to you. You have such a good time together. Good friends are a blessing.
ReplyDeleteI'm not full of patience either and that would have bothered me.
We went to church in the morning yesterday, and then I was a slug too. That's kind of nice sometimes.
I am excited that my friends are looking at homes in here and plan to become snowbirds! They are even talking to the Canadian owners of the house they are renting. Hoping they decide they can make it all work!
DeleteSo cute the way the dog sits on your lap!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun time you have with your neighbors!
I hate that you're having such a cold snap down there. Destiny's little house does not have heat except in the bedrooms. I hope it soon warms up again.
