First, thanks to everyone for caring about my cold and asking how I am. I don't feel bad at all, it's just a stuffy head that having the furnace on seems to bring on when it gets cold outside and the furnace is on. I am sneezing, coughing a little, and blowing my nose. No fever, no chills, no sore throat. Mucinex is keeping me going. None of my symptoms line up with COVID, except the loss of taste and smell but that goes with my sinus crap all the time. The last time was November/December 2019. We haven't' been cold enough this winter until this week to have the furnace on day and night. Sinus irritation. Blecht!
We went to the farm (Joe's client) on Wednesday. It was COLD and I have this sinus crap going on so I didn't plan to walk to the pasture to see the horses. I didn't want to sit in the office with the owner and Joe (sniffing, blowing, etc.) so I planned to just snuggle in the car with my coffee and my Kindle, which is what I did. The parrots/birds were moved to warmer digs, the calf was fine and turned out in the fields with the rest of the cattle so he wasn't there. The cattle dog, Roho, got some treats and then I went back to the car. Cattle photos were all taken from the car as we drove into the property. I missed the horses and hope it is warmer next week!

ReplyDeleteI hate colds any time! Praying yours and now Joe's goes away soon and that you will soon be breathing free again! I know this kind of weather/with furnace on does cause a lot of sinus irritation. I've been praying we don't get it. So far so good. You still managed to get a lot of good pictures of the cows in the fields and those calves too! They are so sweet! Love that lady's nice flower garden! I wish I could do that too. I plant things and they look good for a while, but then someone needs to maintain them to keep them that way and I just don't enjoy doing that anymore and no one else will either, so if they grow and bloom, it's not because of me! LOL. Hopefully we will have a warmer weekend with some rain headed our way, which we need. Our pond is starting to dry up again like it did last year about this time, but the spring rains bring it right back up. I am a bit behind today...no good pictures or anything to share yet. I hope we can get started soon. I took a break yesterday afternoon. Take care and get well soon!! (((hugs)))) from a distance! :)

ReplyDeleteWe have sinus issues here from time to time, too, and the dry heated air just makes it so much worse. I'm glad you're being sensible, getting rest, and staying in. You go sniffing around in public these days and someone is liable to start freaking out. Anyway, feel better soon and enjoy the weekend!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it crazy how everyone gets over a cold now? We are sure Covid has arrived. I too don't like it when it gets cold enough for the heat to run a lot...two reasons - the most important the same as you. My nose gets so dry. The second one is I look forward to lower power bills:) However, we have had winter in north Florida. I am ready for it to go, so I can work in my flowers. You know I love that yard you showed. Hope y'all feel better soon and it all clears up quick.
ReplyDeleteI do think it feels different to have the heat going all the time in the house and the pines are already putting out pollen...oh joy! lol I hope you continue to feel better. I don't usually drink hot tea but it tastes good when I have a cold. Love your farm scenes. Feels so great to get outdoors and see things even from our vehicles! Take care!

ReplyDeleteHope you guys get over your colds quickly. Hubby and I both have sinus issues this winter and I feel like we're always telling people it's not covid. Hubby says if it's covid then he's had it for 10 years! lol

ReplyDeleteI'm miserable when our heat is on, the dry heat is bad for your sinus. Sometimes I think I would rather be cold. Thankfully, we don't need heat too often. When Mr D has a doctor appointment I stay in the car with my kindle and coffee too - sometimes I have a coke. Hope you and Joe feel better soon.
